leaving catra must have felt to adora like one of the worst things that ever happened to her in her life… she really loved catra so so much with her whole heart, wanted so badly to share her life with her, was so mortified by the idea of not having a life with her anymore that she all but begged and pleaded with catra for 3 whole seasons against all reason to please come with her. she was made to feel responsible for catras safety, made to feel like she alone could protect catra from shadow weaver, from the other cadets, made to feel that she abandoned catra in that place, not knowing if she was ok or if anyone was hurting her and not being able to do anything about it. in summary
