Raw Emotion in Day Two of Che Taylor Inquest Hearing

The small court room was at capacity and there wasn’t enough room for everyone to see the flat screen monitor from their seats in the court’s three pews, so the family of Che Taylor gathered to the right of the jury’s seats to watch a video of their son/brother/husband die. The two Seattle Police Officers that did the killing were seated next to their attorneys behind the screen, so, before the paralegal hit play on the video, they moved across the court room and stood behind the jury.

So the stage was set, the impartial jury would watch the key piece of evidence in Taylor’s death with the killers over their shoulder and the family of the slain to their right.

Washington State Could and Should Be the Capitol of Pot Research

Here’s some irony: right now state law allows me to go buy an ounce of pot, roll a massive blunt and smoke it, but it would be illegal for a scientists to study what’s going on in the pot itself. The state needs to change that.
