This was an issue she knew that she had, a bad habit of taking everything to heart and getting too involved. Whether it be towards members of the member or even the victims themselves (if they were still alive), but she always seemed to worry about others more than she should. She had only taken on this case taken this particular case recently, but the trail had run cold before she could even find anything. The victim didn’t come forward with information until years after the incident, the perpetrator long gone by now. Even if she wanted a better ending and closure to the case, new clues would be hard to come by at this point. Yet here she was in front of the victim’s brother’s house, knuckles knocking uncertainly against the door.
She knew it was a dead end she was pursuing, that a man who had for the last five years been in prison would know even less than her about the whereabouts of his sister’s ex, but she still decided to venture down this road anyways. Perhaps he reminded her of herself, his actions leading to his arrest mirroring her own which had also lead her to Olympus in the first place. Just like him, she would do anything to protect those that she cared about. Perhaps she was looking for closure on this particular case in an attempt for closure on her own.
“Sawyer Graves?” She calls out as she gives the door another knock, “Sawyer Graves, are you in?”

Yoga has always been her solace, a means to calm the tumultuous thoughts in her mind that otherwise would not leave her alone. Those peaceful two hours on sunday mornings was how she took back her life. When unsolved cases didn’t exist, and no victim names or family member couldn’t invade her thoughts. In those moments it was just her and the low hum of the outside world, she could almost pretend as if her world wasn’t surrounded by the evil nature of human beings, that she was just a normal attendant of the studio like those around her.
If Leta was being honest with herself, she hadn’t expected to make friends when she started the class had only decided to attend for her own sanity, but when she found herself unconsciously setting her mat down next to another attendant constantly, the small silent smiles they gave each other slowly turned into small greetings until a friendship bloomed naturally. Izzy’s presence in class was just another blessing on top of everything.
With Izzy she was transported to a time when she actually cared about another person, little remnants of her own childhood friend flickering through her memories. She had lost someone already in the past, she wasn’t about to lose Izzy too. Now, while they waited for the instructor to arrive, doing warm up stretches, Leta couldn’t help her curiosity as she turned to her friend. A thought that she had been holding onto for awhile finally bubbling to the surface, never voiced before because she didn’t want to impose where she shouldn’t. Sometimes, it just seemed like she couldn’t help it.
“So tell me about this new guy of yours,” she voices curiously, “you know, the one you just mentioned briefly, when are you going to introduce him to your yoga buddy, hmm?”

Leta had been here long enough to know how things worked. the corruption running deep within the system and it’s surroundings, leaving a bad taste in her mouth, the town itself holding more secrets than she could count. If it wasn’t for the sake of keeping her job, and biding her time for when she would be allowed to go home, she would not have allowed herself to stay. But for now, she had cases to deal with, cases that kept piling up and going nowhere. An unfortunate hurdle she partly blamed on the infamous club that seemed to rule the town.
She didn’t know much about the primordial mc still, the history with them and the town too intertwined for an outsider like her to even start to understand. But she knew enough to figure that whenever something bad happened in the town that the club was involved somehow. With the recent events that occurred in town, her instincts may have been correct. A new case falling upon her desk amidst the storm, a murder. One of many since her arrival in town. One of many she knew was related to the club somehow, only she just didn’t have the means to prove it. She just had to find the means then.
With all the confidence she could muster, Leta pushes open the door, eyes immediately focused on the lone man sitting in the room, someone she was pretty familiar with. “Seth Carter,” she greets, amusement lacing her words as she walks up to him, tone almost coming off as pleasant, as if she was greeting an old friend, “sorry for the wait, you can’t imagine the amount of paperwork I’ve been doing. Haven’t seen you in here in awhile, looks like you’re still doing well.”
