Let's Celebrate! is a weekly webcomic following the adventures of Nikki and her friends, an ever growing and diverse group of folks who, like it or not, are lumped with saving the world with festively themed magical powers.
It is primarily a greyscale comic, with splash pages and the occasional pivotal moments in colour.

hello all!! in case you missed it, Let’s Celebrate!’s relaunch date has been announced for the 22nd of December, and it’s coming up fast!
I’ll almost certainly be moving away from this tumblr with regards to updates or any other kind of content, because Let’s Celebrate! now has it’s own dedicated website, http://www.letscelebratecomic.com ! all the sorts of extra content that would previously have just been popped on this blog will now have their own pages and locations on the website as it grows with time
the comic is also still mirroring on Tapas, and if you really want a social media update location- my twitter is going strong and will have updates every week when new pages go live! if you want to read ahead, see extra goodies, vote in polls, chat with me on discord about distant-LC!-story arcs and so on, for a few dollars on patreon you can unlock all sorts of stuff; even an illustrated fic about the LC! girls in a camelot/merlin AU!
cheers all, and I hope you’re looking forward to the relaunch like I am!!
when a tree-eyed monster tries to kill her a few days before Christmas, depressed Norwegian teen Nikki Nicolaysen is forcibly introduced to the world of the Academy, an abandoned magic school, and all of the monsters and magical transformations that go with it
with the overenthusiastic help of her new best friend, Patricia Feagan, Nikki sets out to restore the ancient Academy, and try to lead a rag-tag found family into the next great magical era
after a year long hiatus, Let’s Celebrate! is finally back!
returning in full colour & with a complete recap of the first two chapters so new readers can jump right in, Let’s Celebrate! is a slowburn f/f friends-to-lovers festive magical girl webcomic about found family and recovery
relaunch is Dec 22 and weekly updates will resume immediately after! for updates, follow along on twitter, tapastic, or check back to our brand new website!

To celebrate, this is Nikki; beleaguered Norwegian teen, main character in my festive magical girls webcomic, Let’s Celebrate!, unwilling leader of a rag tag group who fight monsters with improbable weapons like candy canes and shamrocks, and an openly asexual aromantic girl.
You can learn more about the webcomic here, or you can access it on tumblr, and read it on comic-fury, or tapastic!
edit: there’s a super long ramble about my aspec opinions and how I represent it in the comic under the read more, but it was very lengthy and I wanted to shorten this post
✨🍰🎂 happy four year anniversary, Let’s Celebrate! 🎂 🍰 ✨
you can check it out here! @letscelebrate-comic
I can’t believe this festive, queer magical girl adventure comic of mine is four years old today! I had no idea what I was setting out for when I started it; but the story and these characters bring me a lot of happiness every day. thank you to everyone who reads, supports and encourages me forward with this story!
it’s christmas eve here in Australia, and I hope you’re having a lovely time wherever you are 🎁🎄⭐ happy holidays and a very merry christmas to all, from the let’s celebrate! girls and me!

here’s the promised character reveal from the community challenge on my webcomic; guesses were pretty divided- shout out to everyone who thought valentine’s day- but some people really spotted lots of the hints (though not all) and were on the nose!
so here she is, the third member of the festive musketeers magical girls and I’m excited to finally introduce her and show off her outfit! I hope to do portraits like this for the others as well, so keep an eye out!
woops, I realised I’ve actually been doing a bad job cross-posting stuff here from my artblog. one of those “I’ll do that later so I don’t spam people” scenarios that’s gotten out of hand. well, useful for the hiatus, I suppose!! some of the things might be very lightly s*poiler related but I will tag them, so blacklist that if you want!
okay, some things queued for this week (with some light sp*oilers), but I want to take this chance to prompt again that during the reboot I'll be turning this tumblr into a Full Page Only website style tumblr; and other art will have to be seen on my artblog @berryartistic or my twitter https://twitter.com/telokaberry !
LAUNCH TIME!! 💝💖✨ I’ve been working on this for a while and taking feedback via twitter, but my patreon is finally live, with content already up for all tiers and a special limited-time launch promo with free prints and exclusive stickers!
you can read more about the special promo and see samples of the print and stickers on this public post!
there are some free public previews available on my patreon even if you don’t pledge, and if you do pledge you’ll get all sorts of stuff related to personal artwork, my webcomic @letscelebrate-comic (including early pages later this year!), new merchandise, works in progress and tutorials, exclusive artwork and writing, and more! please check it out!
it would mean a lot to me if you’d look and consider supporting me so I can continue to create artwork for free for everyone!

hello everyone!
during the hiatus from the comic pages, I’ll be working a lot on artistic things (like style tests and character development) but I’m also thinking hard about branding and hosting
right now the biggest change of that nature is that I am thinking of turning the LC comic tumblr into a webcomic host, and getting a domain so that it will be more like an independent and professional website.
I want to move off comic fury, but when I’ve tried to do that previously readers have lamented losing the ‘single page’ format for tapastic’s vertical scroll, but I could maintain single page posts easily on a webcomic tumblr for less effort on my part and- hopefully- more gain through personal branding
the downside is that stuff like public asks and non-page updates will have to be moved to my personal artblog @berryartistic , as I won’t be able to post them to this tumblr. I could alternatively make a totally new tumblr to host the full pages on and keep this one as is, but honestly the engagement on this tumblr itself is moderate at best, and comments and reblogs on pages- the primary engagement I do get at this point, rather than asks- would still exist the same!
anyway, I’d love to hear your feedback on this decision! I’m very heavily leaning towards making this change, so if you have objections please let me know so that I can consider them; reader opinions are important to me and I’d like to hear them!
hello everyone, and thank you so much for reading and supporting this comic!! a text version of the images above is available below the cut, and here are the links!
🎄🍀 all LC! specific updates will continue to be posted on this blog, @letscelebrate-comic , and I will be continuing to respond to messages and post content like music mixes, portraits, and studies in the downtime! 🎄🍀

hey there friends! I know this is long, but it's important to the comic and I'd really appreciate your time!
the short of it is, the comic will be going on a long break; at least four to six months.
I'll be contactable via social media where you can also see other art during the break (links at the end, in the caption) and I will update on Tapastic itself as soon as I have more info about a relaunch date. as always, if you like my work, I'd really appreciate tips on ko-fi!
I've been running Let's Celebrate! solo for almost 4 years of reliable weekly updates, since December 2014! that's a long time. I'm due for and really need a break before I get insurmountable burnout. I love this story and these characters, and have no intention of stepping away, but I need some space from the update grind in order to make some big changes, and also accommodate other changes that happened in my life in that time
since we started, my skill and style have both changed, and I need to strongly reassess how I approach this comic in terms of pacing and art. when I started LC!, I had no idea what I was settling in for or how long it would take and how big it would be. I had never done a long-form webcomic before, so I knew I'd be experimenting and learning as I went; now I'm running not one, but two webcomics full time, which is very hard work!
looking back, I can see where I've improved since 2014, especially at comic pacing and art speed, so I'm hopeful I can speed up this comic. we're some 200+ pages in, and just now meeting the third character and passing the one day mark in-story, which is... real slow. with updates only one page a week, it'd be nice if each page made a bit more progress with snappier pacing; though I won't sacrifice character interactions or development as those are my main interest (and if you've read this far, probably yours as well!)
I also want to spend some time doing studies to try and fix the problems with inconsistency that I've been struggling with this last chapter, and to improve the overall art quality. lastly, I'm strongly considering switching to full colour rather than greyscale/ monochrome. I chose monochrome for a variety of reasons and feel fondly about it as a part of LC! history, but I often wonder if it's hindering readership. I'm now confident I have the skills to turn out pages in full and properly atmospheric colour, which I wasn't when we began
these changes will take me time to practice and implement, but hopefully taking this break will help the comic to come back bigger and better and more enjoyable for you to read (and me to create) than before!
in the interim I will be continuing to post artwork, including LC! work and previews, to my artblog, my twitter and the LC! tumblr. for anyone also reading our supernatural horror, A Week In Warrigilla, this is LC! related only. AWIW runs on its own schedule which will be unaffected by this break
I truly hope that by taking some time to learn and study and apply more forethought to Let's Celebrate! I can bring this comic back as a better experience for everyone! thank you for your patience, feel free to hit me up on social media anytime for updates or to see where we're at with a relaunch, though I will be sure to update everywhere as soon as I know an expected release date for chapter 3!
