Saving fics from TheHexFiles.net

I’m a bit of a fic hoarder - I save every fic that I like.

In my innocent, early days of being a Drarry fan, I was so confused about how to save fics from TheHexFiles.net. If I was feeling diligent, I would actually copy-and-paste every chapter of a fic onto a Word document. Obviously when you have a fic like Secrets, it’s far from the most enjoyable thing to do.

I’ve seen some people asking about how to save THF fics lately, so here’s my method! It also works for HPFandom.net. It’s all online (no program downloads needed):

Open the fic.

You want to access the printable version of the fic. In multi-chapter fics, click on the ‘Story’ link next to the printer symbol. (It’s below the fic title/author name and above the fic summary.) In single-chapter fics, click on the printer symbol.

You now have a blank HTML-free version of the whole fic. Yay! Copy the URL.

Use HTML to PDF to convert the page to pdf, or Online-Convert to convert to epub (or other similar websites/formats) etc.

THF doesn’t actually seem to be closing soon (despite their notice ~5 months ago), but better safe than sorry is my philosophy :3

Stop leaving Draco's flaws out of fics 2k15

He’s a bitch guys. A bad ass bitch yes but he’s so bitchy and bratty and sarcastic and screams money. I understand if you want to leave some of these out when writing fics but you can’t erase a whole character and re write them. He’s not the sassy little cinnamon roll y'all are portraying him as. He’s marked, he’s bad ass, he’s also a coward. All these traits are things I fell in love with while reading HP because they make him more relatable and real. I just wish more people stuck to canon Draco because he was such a complex character and I feel especially in Drarry fics he’s far more suited for Harry then fanon Draco. Harry wouldn’t want someone who has no flaws. Draco Malfoy is not a perfect little snowflake because he has no flaws he’s flawed as hell and that’s what makes him perfect

Finally someone who says it! Sometimes it's cute but most of the times, I wouldd wish for a realistic characterization of Draco.

I love that gif of Yunho on the first day of GFF. Looks like he's not sure what to do. I'm on the side of "Nope" I'll pass. What are your thoughts about this whole Yunho and what's his name hooking up and YJ's spazzing all over the place? And that picture of Yunho and his dad talking with what's his name in their tent? Yunho looks awkward and his dad looking at the man that fucked up his son's life and career. Those two were ambushed.

Well, Anon, me too if i was reunited with an ex-members of my group I avoided for the past 6 yrs I would find the situation very very awks LOL

Well my thoughts were that the Yunjaefans were having a really loud fanfic contest

I laughed so hard when I saw Yunho’s dad face (but ”ambushed” is a strong word and i don’t think it apply in this situation as Yunho& Yunappa were chilling alright until jae came in like a flower) ! He clearly wasn’t too happy to see the jae coming in their tent like nothing was wrong. Yunho wasn’t looking at him but I think he acted with courtoisie and well mannered. It was the Yunho we all know and love. He hugged him. ok. He smiled. ok. What else was he supposed to do when the man came to his tent other that welcoming in him ? Spit in his face and swear name at him ? No, Yunho is better than that and that is why he behaved the way he did. That is why he is my bias, my fave idol. Is the relationship between them better ? I don’t know. Maybe. After all they were in this camp for 4 days without fans, camera eyes praying on them etc so maybe they talked but it still don’t change the fact that TVXQ IS YUNHO AND CHANGMIN AND MY BROTP ISN’T SINKING LIKE SOME YJ FANS WERE SAYING !!!! And them, what do they have ? A stalker photo/video showing Yunho acting like the very brillant and intelligent public figure he is VS a VERY REPEATED promise telling us his intention to return to a tvxq compromised of 2 members as a monster (smashing those tiles are a good indication that he is on his way!!!!)….

Still if they were to reunite for a one night only special concert or something along the line I wouldn’t be against it. Why ? because more money for our boys going into their already full bank account.  Having more money is always nice but i wouldn’t go. just watching biased fancam of yunho&changmin…..

What I like about YunJae meeting is that they didn’t the fact that they are in good terms. They could have for the sake of their companies or some of their fans but they still did it. And the fact that they just didn’t meet once and ends it but met several times made it all the more amazing. And I like how they respect each other’s family enough to come and greet them instead of hiding their friendship for their company’s sake. I applaud this.

Ok, because I can never decide

which I prefer… TALL!Draco or TALL!Harry We know that Canon-wise they are both rather tall (and by Canon I mean the books) but I’ve seen fanfiction and fan art where one is slightly taller than the other - and it always works for that particular setting - but I can’t pick which I like the best. I’m really into Powerful!Harry so making him the tallest out of the two just makes sense and in this setting Harry is usually the dominant partner. I L O V E Harry using his strength and power to get Draco to submit to him (not in a rape-y way because thats beyond horrific) and Draco begging Harry to fuck him, to touch him, to “please, Harry!… Oh, Merlin.. Har- I… HARRY - oh god! FUCK Harry… Y E S!” Is so bloody hot!… … but at the same time TALL!Draco who smirks down at Harry, who slings an arm across Harry’s shoulders and has to lean down to kiss him because “no Draco, I’m not standing on my toes because you’re freakishly tall” and proceeds to grab Draco by the back of his neck and the front of his shirt and haul him down to kiss him, being a bit /too/ enthusiastic in this and they both end up sprawled across the floor which neither of them mind. Draco pinning Harry’s hands above his head, finding that spot just under Harry’s jaw behind his ear that has Harry writhing and whimpering with need, long legs entangled with Harry’s… Do you see my dilemma??

Drago Malfoy and the Dramione: I wanted Drago and Hermione together. Because I wanted Drago Malfoy to be a HERO. And love, is the only thing he would fight over. Drago Malefoy deserved a push on the right direction. Drago Malfoy wasn’t obligated to be a guy who was endoctrined by his family. I wanted JK Rowling to show us, our OWN opinion is made from our experiences and meetings… SCHOOL.I wanted Drago to rebel. Drago could have been a true hero in Harry Potter and of course give a echo to Snape’s sacrifice.

I wanted Ron dead. I wanted Ron to be selfless. I wanted Ron fight over. Be someone he wanted to be. To be unique. I wanted him to sacrifice himself in the Hogward battle. And if Ron was dead…His brother Fred was still alive and… his brothers would have looked at him like he wanted his family to look at him. = > RISED MIRROR tome one.

I wanted Harry to end up with… Luna lovegood. Cause Luna was the only one who wasn’t a HP’s groupie. She made him laugh. I was shipping it so hard.

1) I wanted Draco to be a hero as well but I think it was kind of realistic the way she wrote his character. I don't like Dramione (because I'm a Drarry shipper... and Hermione and Ron is the only couple I would never want broken.)

3) I also thought that Harry was better off with Luna in the canon.

4) And yes GINNY and NEVILLE together!
