“Yeah? I think we should go soon then.” It made Sam eager to go, now that they were talking about it. He had never really been that keen on going back home, and he was thankful for the time where he got to move to Miami, away from his family a little, to attend school there. But now, as they talked about it, it seemed nice to go back. Besides, his family absolutely loved and adored Quinn. Mostly Langston, since it appeared that he had a crush on her, but that was just extremely cute. Letting a deep breath, Sam nodded slowly. “I really want him to get to know Maddie a little better, you know? It’s stupid, saying that, but I think it helps a little.” Sam said, truly grateful that Quinn wanted to be there for him about Max, like he wanted to be there for her about Beth.Â
Smiling proudly down at his daughter, Sam couldn’t help but fall in love all over again with the little girl in his arms. She was everything to him, just like her mother. His entire world and he never wanted to give her up. And Quinn was right. Anyone would go soft for that little girl who was yawning and stretching her little arms and legs. She was just absolutely precious. “She’s perfect. She got that from you, you know?” Sam said, looking back up at Quinn, the same proud smile resting on his lips. He was proud of his family. Walking over, Sam put Maddie down in her crib gently and tucked the blankets around her tiny body, moving the teddy bear that Quinn’s mom had gotten her closer to his daughter, Sam made sure to say his goodnights and his “I love you’s” again and then grabbed Quinn’s hand and followed her into the bedroom again. “I think it’ll be good with some sleep. If she wakes up, I’ll take her, don’t worry, baby!”
"I know. And it's not stupid, baby. When Maddie gets older, we want her to know who her Uncle Max is, right?" It was like Beth, in a sense. Obviously, Quinn was going to introduce the two once they were both old enough to understand the entire situation. It was scary, the thought of Beth knowing that Quinn had another daughter only three years after she was born, but Quinn was going to explain that with Beth, it wasn't the right guy, or time, but she still loved them equally no matter what. And she'd let Sam explain to her the entire situation with Max as best he could, and she could only hope that Madeline would understand. Laughing a little, Quinn shook her head. "I'm not the only perfect parent, y'know. She got some of that from you, too."
Saying a quick 'I love you' to Madeline, Quinn climbed her way onto the bed, waiting for Sam to join her. "Are you sure? Well, if she's hungry, wake me up, okay?" Grabbing one of Sam's t-shirts from beside the bed (she hoped it was clean), Quinn tossed her towel and pulled the shirt over her head. So, so much better. Patting the spot next to her, Quinn smiled. "If we hurry, we could get at least a few hours?" Or go for round two, whatever.
