Sheâs just so damn cute
yesterday was the release date anniversary of Rune Factory: Frontier, which is probably my favorite farming (+dungeons) game! Thereâs not a lot of fanart for it, but I love it sooooo much ;c The later Rune Factory games improved some of the game mechanics, but none have quite the same charm for me. The house models?? are also so cute?? anyway here are some sketches of my faves, in celebration. boy do i wish you couldâve been gay in this game, i would date the heck out of the terrible store-owner.
Reblog if it is okay to start talking to you.

-giggles at the nose wrinkle- I see you still have a bit of kid in you. I donât mind vegetables, but I loooooove fruit~! I suppose thatâs obvious since I store my oranges and milk in your mailbox though, huh? Personally, I think eggplants are the only thing I canât really stand.
-tilts her head slightly confused- Huh? No, I donât think of this as kid practice. I get more kid practice with my siblings than anyone else. I guess I would consider this to be more boyfriend or husba- -begins to turn red as she realizes what sheâs saying- I-I-I mean⊠N-never mind! But no, I donât think of this as kid practice at all. Ahahaha~ -laughs awkwardly, yet cutely trying to shake it off-
Yeah, pretty obvious. [He nods, already knowing most of that from what Erikâs told him.]
[He blinks, and his expression slowly turns into a genuine smile, if only for a moment. It doesnât take long for it to turn into something more slightly more mischievous as heâs emboldened by her comment. The genuine feeling behind it is still evident enough for anyone who knows how to read him.]
Hm, is that right? You know, compared to kid practice, something like that⊠I donât mind so much. [He wants to keep teasing her, but still canât bring himself to flirt much more than that while keeping a straight face. Despite that, he is able to finish up his omelette in a surprisingly cheery mood.]
Your cooking was really good. You definitely should come by more often. You know⊠for practice.Â
-Anette's blush refuses to leave her clearly embarrassed face through Danny's suggestion of continuing on with their practice. She doesn't mind practicing with him, but feels something odd about it being with him. A faster heartbeat and a mild heat runs through her body, but is waved off as a nervousness. He was her friend. Of course it would be embarrassing to act that way with him. Even so, she began to think it might not be so bad to get some more practice. And with Erik being married and too annoying for her taste in men, she could see Danny as a godsend in that regard.-
-Anette nodded shyly/ Y-yeah.... That...might not be so bad... -tries to calm herself from nerves and takes a deep breath-
I mean...you have practice with that kind of stuff right? You could let me know what guys like maybe...? It's kind of embarrassing to admit this to be one of my weaker areas, but men are just not really my specialty. Although, I haven't really tried looking much less -swallows the knot in her throat- ...dating...before. I suppose I should at least attempt to learn something if I have any hopes of having a family right?
-finishes her omelette as well, placing her fork on the plate and gently wiping her lips. Then takes both plates to the kitchen to clean them- I mean, if cooking is a way to a guy's heart then cooking for you would be some easy practice, right? I wouldn't mind that at least. -Her blush had begun to clear away as she listened to the words she spoke aloud and convinced herself it was strictly practicing for attracting a partner- Besides, you clearly seem to enjoy my food, so I guess this could benefit both of us in a way. -giggles sweetly, still happy that Danny enjoyed his omelet-
The Economic Trading of Food and (Friend) Dates @dannysgroceries
-sighs in reassurance and takes a seat across from Danny with a plate of her own- Well thatâs good to hear. You certainly are a lot easier to cook for than Marie. She really only eats sweet things. Iâm usually stuck making pancakes and French toast every morning for her, but something else for Genevieve and Jude. They usually canât eat the same breakfast more than twice In a row. -laughs upon recalling her familyâs oddness- But theyâre family, so itâs okay. -smiles warmly just thinking about them-
Sometimes I feel like more of a mom than a big sister, but I guess thatâs what happens when youâre the caretaker, huh? But I donât mind. Hopefully Iâll have kids of my own one day, and this is just training for whenever that happens. -laughs at her own joke, partially believing it- Iâm kidding, just kidding~! -begins to eat her omelette as well after letting it cool down for a bit-
[Smiles a bit absentmindedly as he listens to her talk about her family again.] Hmm, well, Iâm not too picky myself. My brothers and sisters are the same, more or less. Being picky doesnât help much, since no matter who cooks, youâre getting what youâre getting, no two ways about it. I donât think thereâs a lot of cooked dishes that I wonât eat. [He wrinkles his nose childishly.] Some vegetables arenât so great, though.
Yeah, I sort of know the feeling. Well, I think youâll be a good mom, but⊠You donât really think of us hanging out like this as kid-practice, are you? [His expression sours slightly.] I was kinda hoping this was more, er⊠[He trails off, apparently unable to come up with the proper adjective as he pokes his omelette with his fork.] âŠMore ânot thatâ.
-giggles at the nose wrinkle- I see you still have a bit of kid in you. I don't mind vegetables, but I loooooove fruit~! I suppose that's obvious since I store my oranges and milk in your mailbox though, huh? Personally, I think eggplants are the only thing I can't really stand.

This would be such a cute outfit to teach in~!

Are you okay, Danny~? -notices the paleness of Dannyâs face- You look a little pale thereâŠ-places her hand to his forehead to check for a temperature- Hmmm, youâre only a little warm. I guess itâs nothing to worry about after all.
I told you I could cook~! Geez, Iâm not as hopeless as a woman as Erik makes me out to be! -sticks her tongue out for a moment- But⊠Iâm glad you like it~! I have to admit, I was a little worried at first that you wouldnâtâŠ
[From paleness, Dannyâs face immediately âregains colorâ when Anette touches his forehead.] Uh, no- yeah- Iâm fine. Nothing to worry about. You must just be imagining things. Totally normal here, ha ha⊠[Shovels a giant forkful of omelette into his mouth to alleviate the need to keep talking.]
[Once he is able to talk again.] What? No, you know I was just teasing you. Iâd like anything you cooked. I bet itâs all deliciousâŠ
-sighs in reassurance and takes a seat across from Danny with a plate of her own- Well that's good to hear. You certainly are a lot easier to cook for than Marie. She really only eats sweet things. -knocks on the witch's door with a hint of nervousness, clutching her mail bag very close to her- Uh... Hello...? Is anybody home...?
*is enjoying a cup of tea when someone so rudely knocks on her doors and interrupts her* What do you humanâs want now?! *stands up, letting the tea hover next to her as she goes and throws the front door open* What?!
Hmph. *She continued with her work. She summoned as big, old looking book over to her and flipped through some of the pages.*
You are correct about high stature. Witches are way better than humans in every aspect. We can do magic, we usually look better, we have more common sense, and are less likely to burn your house down than a human is. *Ingredients began dumping themselves into the mixture, making small bubbles as each was added.*
-watches the bubbles pop spontaneously in the cauldron, a few almost freeing themselves into the outside world, but just not quite- Hmmm... That sounds so nice. I wish I could be a witch too... I mean, I am faster than the average human by a landslide, but having the powers and looks would come in handy I'm sure. -places her cheek on the hand while returning to her daydream-

âHey!
Just so you know. I plan on coming on this day. Just 7 days from when you get this letter, some time around noon at the latest. So Iâll see you soon. I look forward to hanging out. If your parents approve. :p
Hartâ
Hart had sent his letter to his new friend about a week and two days ago. She should have recovered the letter two days after he sent it, so he made sure to head there right on time.
@letter-parade
Anette had been expecting Hart to arrive all morning. She had just finished making her list of âThings to See in Trampoliâ. Although Trampoli was indeed a beautiful town, it wasnât often visited by tourists. Placing the letter within her coat pocket, she peered out the window to notice the friendly traveler heading her way. Anette took a calming breath and stepped outside to greet her friend. âHey there, stranger~! Howâs the farm been,â she smiled warmly.
Hart began making his way to her house. It wasnât too far now. Probably just a house or two over. He saw some shades move and soon a door opened with a familiar little girl coming out.
âYou know, you should ask your parents before talking to strangers.â He replied with a teasing smile, petting her head a bit. âIâm kidding. Iâve been doing great, and so has the farm. How have your deliveries been?â
Anette puffed her cheeks out at her friend, holding her tongue to tolerate his joke. âFunny, Hart,â she murmured as he pat her head.
âMy deliveries have been the same as always. Some old faces and some new~! Iâm glad to hear the farm is good,â she smiled sweetly. âSo where would you like to see first,â Anette questioned her collected tourist. Trampoli wasnât exactly the most attractive place for tourists, but she was determined to make this trip amazing for her friend. âThereâs the big tree in the forest, Lake Poli, the bath house, the inn, the square, the dungeons, Whale Island..,â she continued on, thinking of every possible destination, âThe island in the middle of Lake Poli, Ragunaâs farm, the Green Ruins by Mistâs house, the abandoned farm by Brodikâs house, aaaaaand the beach.â
âWow there certainly are a lot of places to visitâŠâ Hart replied thinking about where he wanted to go. There truly were a lot of choices, and many of which heâd probably enjoy a lot. âAlright. I ate a big breakfast, so Iâm ready for a walk. Whatâs the furthest? We can check that out and check some other things out on the way back. Sound good?â
He asked thinking about the trip. She really would be taking quite a bit of her time for him. He felt like he should make it worth her while as well.
âIâll pay for lunch when we get back to town.â He continued.
Anette nodded, âAlrighty then! To Lake Poli it is~!â The young girl began to march off as she led the way for Hart. She figured the lake would be a rather simple place to start. Maybe a trip to the inn would be next. She could even lead him by the old haunted farm if he was in the mood. Anette took a deep breath to calm herself from all her thinking. This was just a simple tour for a friend. It was probably best to just roll with the mood rather than follow an exact itinerary.
Annetteâs eyes lit up with the mention of food. âR-really?! Thatâs so nice of you, Hart~! Iâve been cooking for my friends recently, so it would be really nice to actually go somewhere out for lunch! The inn has some pretty great food. Rita sure can cook. However, Erik does make some pretty incredible pumpkin tarts,â she trailed off as she tried to keep herself from drooling. âHe usually gives me those for free though ahaha~! But we can go wherever you feel like if itâs on you! Iâm not too picky,â she smiled up at Hart.
âMy pleasure. Iâm glad youâre excited to go out.â He replied as he followed her towards Lake Poli. He saw she was thinking of where to go and what to do, and wanted to tell her it wasnât that big a deal, but also decided to go with her flow. Just following it.
âSo how is Lake Poli? Is it big and clear? And like full of fish and what not?â He asked. âWe actually have a small lake at my place too. Though itâs pretty small and the Harvest Goddess lives there.â
Anette tilted her head to the side as she recalled upon her clear memories created at Lake Poli. âItâs soooooo huge~! And itâs definitely the clearest lake Iâve ever seen!â She had tho think for a moment about the fish. There was a fishing spot set up there for sure, but it often looked so lonely. âThereâs fish in it for sure, but the main attraction is probably the small island in the middle of the lake! Thereâs a boat you can use to get there,â she smiled as she remembered many days of play in the boat.
âThe Harvest Goddess..?â Anette had never heard of such a being, but was immediately fascinated. âWhoâs the Harvest Goddess,â she wondered aloud.
âAn island? Would we be able to check that out? I think thatâd be awesome!â Hart replied with a bit of excitement. It was exciting to explore something like that. He was intrigued. âIf it doesnât take long that is.â
âThe Harvest Goddess is a real interesting dirty. She keeps our souls fertile and often offers us some help. So sheâs pretty great.â Hart replied.
"Yeah, of course~!" The island was usually considered a date spot where couples would spend their alone time together, but it also made a great escape for kids and those looking for solitude. Anette had spent many days napping beneath the tree and collecting it's fruit whenever it fell. "We'll have to use the gondola, but it shouldn't take more than 5 or 10 minutes to get there! We're almost at the lake anyhow."
Anette pondered on the thought of having a goddess with bright eyes, "Woooooowwe~! That sounds amazing! I wish we had a goddess that lived around here. The closest thing we have are Runeys I suppose. Not many places have them. I've only seen them in Trampoli and one other island. They declare the life of the land. But they're defiantly adorable as can be for such powerful little creatures."

-giggles and takes his requests into account for his next breakfast with her- Yes, master Danny~! -teases back wit a sarcastic smile on her face- Well, youâre about to find out for yourself. -smiles sweetly as she puts the finishing touches on her omelet master piece and places it in front of him- Bon apetit~!
[With a look of blank shock, he silently mouths the words âmaster Dannyâ. He continues to stare awkwardly at Anette as she brings the food over. After a few seconds he managed to look down at his food, which looks extremely appealing, although his nerves make him question whether heâll actually be able to eat.]
Erm, right, okay⊠[Cautiously, he takes a forkful of the omelette and bring it to his mouth. It tasted amazing- although whether that was because Anette was just that good, or simply because SHE made it, Danny had no objective way of knowing.]
Whoa⊠Anette, this is really good! [He begins shoveling more food into his face.]  Mm- I take it all back! Youâre a great cook!
Are you okay, Danny~? -notices the paleness of Danny's face- You look a little pale there...-places her hand to his forehead to check for a temperature- Hmmm, you're only a little warm. I guess it's nothing to worry about after all.
I told you I could cook~! Geez, I'm not as hopeless as a woman as Erik makes me out to be! -sticks her tongue out for a moment- But... I'm glad you like it~! I have to admit, I was a little worried at first that you wouldn't...
:(
((This isn't exactly easy for anyone, I'm sure. With Masterlist closing, it certainly does take a good chunk out of the heart out. I have no plans for closing Anette in any way, shape, or form. She's always gonna be here to start threads with anyone who wants to and just carry on. So I guess I'll just be indie for now. This group is a huge part of me. I rped on it for about a year and a half before taking a couple years off to focus on my senior year and beginning of college. This group has helped to support me in any way possible and I've made so many friends off of here. I couldn't imagine just leaving it all behind. Not right now. I'm going to stay hopeful for the reopening though and will welcome it gladly. Come back soon, Masterlist.))
The Economic Trading of Food and (Friend) Dates @dannysgroceries
Silly~! I donât mind cooking for you or Erik. You guys are close to me and itâs not like I donât have any motherly instincts. I do like to help people and make them happy too, you know! -turns around to stick her tongue out at Danny, teasing him a little but goes back to cooking shortly after- I would be a little worried if it didnât smell good. But it is just an omelet after all. Who could really mess that up? -she giggles nervously, recalling all the times she messed up omelets-
Oh yeah? In that case, I want french toast for breakfast next time. And pancakes after that. [His tone doesnât indicate that heâs joking, but a smile breaks through onto his face as he speaks. He gives a quiet chuckle and begins absentmindedly playing with the tablecloth.] Well, I guess that I wonât be able to see if your food is any good just by smelling it. Iâll have to taste it for that. And then weâll see if youâre really lying about being able to cook! âȘ
-giggles and takes his requests into account for his next breakfast with her- Yes, master Danny~! -teases back wit a sarcastic smile on her face- Well, you're about to find out for yourself. -smiles sweetly as she puts the finishing touches on her omelet master piece and places it in front of him- Bon apetit~!
-looks at the witch innocently, noticing that she isnât so scary after all- Oh⊠Are you the witch around these woodsâŠ? You look..very different than I thought you would. Much younger for sure! Ahaha~! -giggles nervously as she notices the floating tea cup-
*Crosses arms across chest and begins tapping foot* What does it look like to you? Yes, I am the witch that lives out here in MY woods! Have you only come out here to gawk at me? *Waves hand, as if shooing her away* I donât need this from humans. As you may see, I am busy relaxing and drinking tea.Â
*Squints eyes as she stares at her* Or is it that you knew this and want to join me? Because I do not know how I would feel about that. Probably annoyed.Â
Oh! No, no, no, no, no! I didnât mean to offend you or anything. I just have some packages for you. -nervously reaches into her bag to pull out the packages for witchy- Here you go~! -smirks cheerfully-
J-join you?! -begins to daydream of all the things she could do as a witch- HmmmâŠwell it IS tempting⊠B-but I donât think I can! However⊠-thinks for another moment- I could pay you pretty handsomely for a certain potion. That is, if you feel up to it~ -giggles as though she is so clever-
*Eyes the packages suspiciously before taking them* Not many people send me things, so forgive me for being cautious human.Â
*Raises eyebrows and takes the tea cup and sips* Hmm, you could pay me for a potion? *Contemplates the new ingredients she could get with some new money and sighed* Fine, come in. What potion is it that you seek?
-nods and hands the packages to the witch- i-itâs okay. I donât get a lot of mail either ironically. Ahaha~
-follows the witch inside hesitantly, but looks around in awe as she sees all of the mystical items belonging to her- Woooaahhh~! This place is amazing! -clears her throat- I-I meanâŠyes. I was wondering if you would maybe feel up to making a potion that helps things..grow. Do you think that itâs possibleâŠ? -eyes grow wide with hope as she imagines herself just a little bit taller-
*Shuts the door and letâs her be in awe for a moment* This is just your average witchâs home I suppose. Youâre lucky to even be in here. *Leads her over to the cauldron*Â
A growing spell? *Eyes her chest* You should be grateful to have the size you have, human. *Scoffs* It would be such a waste to make a growing potion for something as petty as that!
Iâll say⊠-Anette trails off, still enamored by all of the wondrous items in the witchâs hut- I donât think I know anyone that has a witch for a friend now that I think about itâŠ. I guess I should feel pretty special since I have you, huh witchy~? -smiles sweetly enough to melt anyoneâs heart-
-looks down at her chest Ina confused state for a moment- Huh..? I donât kn- H-H-H-HEY! I wasnât talking about my chest! -quickly covers her chest with an embarrassed blush taking over her face before taking a moment to shake it off- I meant my size! Like how tall I am. I would like to be a little bit taller, not bustier!
I never said I was your friend. *She glares at Anette, trying to prove her point.* I am only giving you a potion because you are going to pay me.
Well you did not specify what you wanted grown, so I could only assume since⊠*She trailed off, not wanting to have this argument. She pointed to the couch* Sit down, this will take a little bit. *She began summoning random bottles of things, firing up the cauldron as they flew about* So, a taller potion? I have never made that before, but it shouldnât be hard.
-shrugs- Well, you're still helping me. I still consider you a friend in my book~! -smiles cheerfully, blindly ignoring the witch's negativity-
-walks over to the couch, still holding her chest and only uncovers herself when Vivi turns around so not as to catch her.- Well, I figured you're a witch and you seem to be someone of high stature. I figured this wouldn't be any trouble for someone like you...
