How to live like a Modern Marie Antoinette

~ Throw lavish parties for all of your friends and acquaintances. Send out formal invitations with a dress code and spare no expense. Champagne with gold leaf garnish, silk table cloths, and array of crème filled pastries should be present.

~ Sleep in a pearl-colored silk mini slip complete with a matching robe, slippers, and sleeping mask. Practice an elaborate beauty regimen that includes diamond infused face masks, hydrating lip plumpers, and anti-aging serums.  

~ Bathe daily, preferably in a decadent claw foot tub. Add dried rose petals, lavender oil, scented bubbles, or a splash of champagne to your bath water for a more luxurious experience. Set the mood by lighting an array of golden candelabras and listen to soft string music in the background.

~ Add a faux beauty mark in the shape of a small dot, heart, moon, or star. You can place one on your cheek, near the corner of your eye, or above your lip. Bright blushing cheeks and rose-tinted lip butter is all you will need for makeup. Wear your hair in tight curly ringlets piled high a top your head or loosely pulled back into a voluminous hair-do.

~Lots of perfumes should be displayed on your vanity in an orderly fashion. Keep your space smelling fragrant with freshly cut bouquets arranged in antique vases all around your home. You should faintly smell like the aroma of heaven.

~Fill your wardrobe with wispy fairy-tale dresses studded with glossy pearls, crystal beads, and metallic embroidery.  Billowy peasant tops, lace-up corsets, and pouf sleeves are a must have. Always have a pair of Manolo Blahnik crystal buckle flats nearby.

~Lingerie should consist of jewel encrusted La Perla corsets, lace trimmed babydolls, and crushed velvet bustiers. Lacy thigh high stockings in pastel colors will add a bit of romance to your look.

~Have tea outside in your garden in the mornings. Make sure to wear your favorite sundress and brew yourself a soothing herbal tea. Raspberry flavored macaroons, candied violets, and strawberry angel cake are a few refreshment options.

How to Feign Your Life is Together

Have a signature accessory, clothing article, make up look, or hair style.

Have a fragrance. Make your hair scents and lotions match your perfume.

It’s okay to dine alone. Bring a book or people watch.

Love your hair. Research the best brands for your hair type and use masks weekly.

Your nails don’t need to be fancy, but keep them maintained.

Stay worldly. Know works of art, artists, designers, films, books, politicians. Spend your lunch break reading the paper or a magazine.

Crying is not a weapon. It’s okay to feel your emotions, but never use them as an excuse to avoid your problems.

Jealousy is boring. Love and appreciate others. If you can’t love them, forget them.

Boost others. Flatter others, but don’t deprecate yourself in the process.

Don’t sulk. Don’t let the whole world know your problems. If you don’t want someone to give their opinion, don’t share your situation.

Your life is between you and the universe. Don’t post your personal matters for others to see.

Don’t emotionally blackmail others. They hurt you? Let them know and then move on. It’s between the two of you and not the world.

Cook dinner. Cook dinner and listen to music, the radio, or a podcast.

Treat yourself to candles and flowers. Be your own cheerleader.

Take naps. Take a cat nap on a Sunday afternoon with the blinds open and the fan on high.

Drink your water, eat your vegetables. Take care of your body.

Never have time to take off your jewelry before bed, but always have time to take off your makeup. Your nighttime skin regime is important.

Mystery is beautiful. You don’t need to reveal much of or about yourself.

Never appear other than as you are. Don’t lie about yourself. Embrace who you are at your core.

bbl’s are way too dangerous to even risk it imo

Even though I don’t personally want to get a BBL, I think anyone going to get this done should definitely find a doctor in the US to get it done because it is still the most dangerous cosmetic procedure to date. Trying to cut corners with this surgery is going to cost your life.

Moodboard: lipo 360 + subtle bbl a la Draya Michele, facial fillers for balance and harmony, I’ve already completed my teeth whitening and had electrolysis for my body.

I’ve never really considered getting lipo or a bbl but I have considered getting under eye fillers, I’m just afraid it will start to migrate. Also, how long did it take for you to get all your hair removed via electrolysis?

2021 Cosmetic Moodboard

Next year I will be investing more money into my appearance. Although some of the things on my list aren’t cosmetic procedures, they are still very permanent.

1. Brow Lamination and Tint

Brow lamination is basically a perm for your eyebrows.  In 30-45 minutes you can leave the chair with supermodel brows that last for two months. I love it because it’s way cheaper than microblading but looks a lot more natural since eyebrow hairs aren’t being etched into your face. 

2. Dental Bonding aka Composite Veneers 

Unlike porcelain veneers, you don’t have to shave down your teeth to get a perfect smile. This procedure will give you straighter and whiter teeth under a couple hours with no anesthesia needed. Plus, since its simply enhancing your smile, you’re less likely to have a mouth full of unnaturally white/big teeth. But also keep in mind that there is some upkeep, as they only last 5-7 years. 

3. Microneedling 

Although I don’t get breakouts that often anymore, I still have scars from middle school when I would try to pop my pimples instead of leaving them alone and a bit of sun damage from not wearing sunscreen. I think that microneedling would be something good to try to clear up my skin. It works by using tiny needles to prick your skin, which makes your skin produce more collagen. Collagen helps different types of scarring, sun damage and even saggy skin. Alternatively, I could also get microneedling with PRP, but I don’t know if I’m willing to get blood drawn for a facial lol. 

4. Latisse for Eyebrows and Eyelashes

My lashes are pretty short but naturally very curled and my eyebrow hairs grow long but not thick(which is the most annoying problem). Instead of relying on lash extensions or brow pencils, I’d like to experiment with Latisse and see if it works for me. The one thing I’m worried about is probably that many people have said it causes dry eyes but I can just use eye drops if that’s the case for me.

4c hair is classy, end of story. As part of my level up journey, I have been taking more time to research products that work for my hair and keep it healthy. Wash days are honestly therapeutic for me and I always look forward to doing them.

After 10+ months, I have finally figured out the name of the champagne I had while I was in Paris. Now, admittedly, I wasn’t really looking because I couldn’t even begin to fathom how I would figure this out but I found a video I had and saw a piece of the wrapper at the neck of the bottle. I cannot begin to explain my excitement because I absolutely hated every other champagne I have ever had. The “search” is finally over ✨🥂

If anyone’s curious it’s the “NV Roederer Brut Premier” and it’s actually from Champagne, France. The wine Spectator rates it at a 92 and I HIGHLY recommend it. It made me feel sexy and it honestly just tastes great!
