I headcanon that Jude likes to Olivia Rodrigo cause she has that perfect teenage girl angst and toxic love that Jude relates to HARD. Cue her listening to the most angry and angsty olivia songs after her (sorta) banishment

Initially she's embarrased to admit that she enjoys human music, let alone a pop star who sings about boys, but Cardan ends up obsessed with her music as well. They get in the habit of listening to music together, and jude gets cardan a cd player with some cds as a gift :)

When Jude really gets to laughing (which isn't often), she snorts. She thinks it's really embarrassing, but Cardan thinks it's adorable. He tries to get her to laugh as often as he can, and while he does make her smile and laugh all the time, he only gets a big snort laugh from her every once in a while. Jude really appreciates him trying, though.

One of my favourite things about tfota is the way jude talks because its such an interesting mix. She talks like a teen girl. She talks like an ancient librarian. Shes somehow doing both at the same time. It really ties into her theme of being an made into an adultified child both by her world and by herself for safety. That being said when she makes mortal friends they will have a fun time of it
