Once the hiatus is lifted, the blog will be updated with information on Erivand itself and some new insight on a few characters. And while I have my own ideas on what I will and won’t post, what is it you want to see? Are there any characters or traditions you’re interested in? Is there anywhere you want to visit on Erivand or history you wish to know?

Geography

The world of Erivand is odd to those of us used to a natural world. Created by gods and run by those believed to be their descendants, Erivand is magic personified. But mortal magic has limits and these limits show in the provinces.

The provinces of Erivand are vastly different from one another. So different that there are distinct lines where one begins and the other ends. In some places of the world, you can literally have one foot in the forests of Tewahi and another in the deserts of Maj Keron. That is because the world of Erivand is sculpted by the minds of Pantheon, skilled Blessed who use their magic to keep Erivand alive.

It is difficult to have a group of people agree on how every one place should merge into the next. Things we don’t think about like the way a seashore can turn into lush fields, forests into mountainous terrain, all require such precision and thought that is merely impossible to do with so many people. Years ago, a map of Erivand was drawn which is used by the Pantheon to sculpt Erivand and makes it so that Erivand has such distinct lines between the provinces.

There is a a stretch to this magic and that stretch is best known as the Ke’zhai. The Ke’zhai is where magic runs dry. Here, the natural elements of Erivand are no longer under control. Harsh weather and storms are common, stifling heat and fierce cold, all so powerful that no spell can stop these extremities. The Wastelands is a stretch of desert in the Ke’zhai strip known for it’s sandstorms and monsters. It is the most traveled of the strip as said monsters often hold materials needed for spells and crafts and it is the most obvious example. Lesser known or traversed examples include the snowy peaks of the Ikkali mountains, where blizzards seem to never end, and the islands of Inkima, where storms are so destructive that only a seasoned sailor can even hope to live through them.

With our modern aus, how would the main three handle themselves ordering at a sit-down restaurant? (Ordering, meals, payment, tips, etc!)

Alekos is the one who does all the talking, but they try and get Kassio to order his own food when he’s able

Avoki folds things out of the napkins. And tosses them at Alekos

Alekos and Avoki are pretty good cooks (especially Avoki) so it’s not often Kassio gets any kind of junk food, he loves getting things like chicken tenders and fries

Alekos gets something different every time

Avoki loves sandwiches

Avoki: water, Alekos and Kassio: soda

Avoki is the one who pays

Tips get tricky...

Avoki always leaves a decent tip. Alekos usually offers to help with it.

The only time they don’t leave a tip is when the staff is rude to Avoki and Mocha, it doesn’t happen often but it happens

The three don’t often eat out, the main reason being Avoki and Mocha, so it’s always fun when they do

Modern AUs are fun so here’s what I’ve been thinking of

They all live together in a small apartment

Avoki works as a security guard, they often pull late or long shifts because they’re the only one who works

Alekos is a full-time student, usually they stay home to work

Kassio is homeschooled by Alekos

Mocha is a service dog

There’s only one bedroom. Alekos and Kassio share the bed and Avoki usually crashes on the couch since they get home so late. Avoki usually moves to the bed once the other two wake up.

Avoki: tea, Alekos: coffee, Kassio: hot chocolate

They all love videogames

Kassio loves RPGs

Avoki loves fighting games

Alekos prefers to watch but they love party games
