One-night stand

It is the morning after. Early. The wrinkled bed looks grey in the weak morning light(the grey background). The details are fogged by the alcohol and the sleepless night(dark blue rectangle in the lower right). The sexy body of your partner is at full display, the partner is still unknown and mystery to you. The feelings are a mix of satisfaction, awkwardness and embarrassment.

Seashore. Sun, blue sky, yellow sand, deep blue water. You are with someone you desire. You see them half-naked, concentration of lust and pleasure. You are brimming with red desire. But you can’t touch the object of your love in the day light(white) surrounded by people. You still are thinking about the night (black and dark blue) full of sexual energy and powerful relentless movements (sharp corners). Surroundings are fading away (grey figures).

Young sexy woman. She projects confidence, calculated sexiness and even some coldness(straight lines, cold colors). This is a patchwork she puts into herself. She still have got some girliness (pink figures), some naivety(white figures). Some stuff she didn’t figure out yet (grey figures), some things are scaring her (dark figures).

She discovers new things around her and about her all the time. Those things are changing her(broken patterns). She has to reinvent herself time after time(spirales).

Darkness attracts. The structure looks complicated and dominating. It scares you and pulls you in at the same time. In the dark everything seems different. Even if you recognize some parts (white and light grey figures), the darkness adds new dimensions and depth.

But what allures most is not the blackness. It is the partial light coming out of the structure. The forbidden openings seduce voyeuristic you in its all exhibitistic glory: the blue fantasy, red desires, orange routine and yellow envy.

Ancient Arab town: earth houses, flat roofs, bright sun, deep shadows. The streets are empty. But behind high walls, the emotions are boiling. A lot is happening: affairs, betrayals and seductions. People are making money and spending it on luxury. But you need to be on the inside to see it all. On the surface, there are only sand, heat and emptiness.

Eyes are windows of the soul. New relationship is exciting. It is driven by lust(the dark red at the bottom). The lust gives you pleasure (the red on the right side). The pleasure opens the mystery (the black on the top). The mystery feeds the lust, circling back to the bottom.

The loop creates a frame. The relationship is an unknown. It is open to new possibilities as a white sheet of paper. Or is it a white bed sheet? Or is it a window looking out into the world hidden in the white fog?

Eyes are windows of the soul.

She has different circles of trust. The further you are away from her, the less of her real self you see.

The outsiders see the white or pink parts. Everything in her world is good, clean and organized. She is a lady.

Friends see blue parts. She has some problems. Not everything is straight. But she still keeps is together.

Close friends are exposed to grey world of hers. It’s bigger, darker and more sexual.

The lovers get the black world. It’s most intimate, vulnerable and most daring.

She is a dream. She is a lover. He is in love. Totally. He does not see anyone else, there's only her. There are trails of previous relationships(the black footprints in the lower left) and yes, he compares her to others (thicker black lines around her body). But it does not matter. She is his Temple(straight corners between her limbs). He worship her. It's very sexual. She is naked. She radiates energy, sexual energy (the color of her body).She is smooth like silk. He can't stop touching and caressing her. But the sex is only the first level. Her mind/soul takes him higher, into the sky. And together with her gentleness (the right arm looks like a bird's wing) shots him to Nirvana (the ball between her hands).

It's a song. Blues song. The guitar is playing (the black and brown figure). It's a slow melancholy melody. The yellow, dark blue and white figures are the words. They tell us a sad story about love. The red line is the pain from the breakup. The bid background figures (teal and blue) are philosophical mood you are getting into.

This is auto portrait. The hand is a totem built out Picasso's art works (black lines) and his creativity (blue color). The totem happened because he broke the status quo (the neck sticking out the torn shirt).

He feels himself exposed and vulnerable (thin neck). His art is being critiqued all the time(the red smudges). It hurts and bother but it helps to shape the creative process. All Picasso's senses are organic parts of a machine to generate art (green figures). And all of it is happening on the stage under strong light(the yellow hat).

She is mysterious. Beautiful as a distant mountain peak covered in snow. Light as a ghost, almost not there. Swift as a bird. She looks friendly and open, but it's only an entry hall. To get further inside to see what's hiding behind the cool facade you have to solve the riddle, climb to the summit. It is a quest.

Sun, ocean, warm, weather it all looks like a holiday, a vacation. It's festive. The houses seem like decorations for a carnival. They look flat and suspended in the air. But the houses are not important. The main part is the street. The hidden life inside the houses is going on. The routine where the bright spots replace the dark ones, just like the shadows on the street. Everything is repeated year after year. The society is divided into circles. Some are closer to the ocean, some are not. The entire life is prescribed by laws and rules (the traffic lines on the road).

It’s Grieving. The traumatic experience (the black structure) is followed by the pain(the red figure). The trauma was caused by a long difficult illness of someone you love, where black periods interchanged with the better ones.

it left you shattered and scarred (paper cuts). You feel desert inside. The emptiness of the white sand that chokes you.

The bordo-white-grey figure near the top is the head. The white body is grey in the dark. As well as sheets. The dark grey spot in the middle is a palm resting on the back.

Ralph Balson The Construction, Transparent Planes

Circles are people. Rectangles are relationships. A circle crossing a rectangle means the person is involved in this relationship. Rectangle with one crossing circle or without any circles is a previous relationship that influences the current one. The transparent circles are your ancestors that influence you and your behavior and through those your relationships. The small red circles are sex that somewhat changes the relationships as well.

Arthur Dove, Foghorns, 1929 You are going down to the river (the white layers at the bottom that are getting darker to the center). It is the river of time. As you are moving alone the river (from left to the right), you meet people (circle-like figures).

People are complex creatures. They have multiple layers that you get to know and peel as you get to know them more(nested figures). And still people are drawing you in. Every time you peel off a layer, there is something else, dark, unknown inside of them.

People come and go in your life, as the time flies. Some of them you know very good, some of them you just met (a small figure in the right center). They are foghorns that let you navigate your own river.
