So, you want to move up and try bigger and better things? Red box and Chinese food? You know that really can be done.
Lia laughed softly, “Oh really? What about when you’re too tired and lazy to leave the house?”
“Don’t go to up or you’ll never come back down.” Tommy teased the girl as he nudged his elbow against her side. “Ah, ya know.. just working on some stuff, ignoring emotions and shit. Normal teenage things.”
Lia smiled slightly as she dropped her head onto his shoulder for a moment. “I’m familiar with the sensation,” she said softly, tapping her fingers on her thighs. “But you can always talk to me. When you’re done ignoring them.”
“Don’t lie to me…”
“But I’m so good at it.”
Sleep is not for the weak. I resent that. I enjoy my sleeping in the afternoon schedule. What do you have against Netflix and some pizza?
“Nothing, it’s just a bit overdone at this point. I mean give me some red box and shitty Chinese take out any day.”
“Usually I wouldn’t care, but it’s you, so.. what’s really bothering you?”
She laughed softly as she brushed a few stray tears from her cheeks. “I guess I should be flattered.” She tried to joke, but it fell flat as her bottom lip trembled. “I’m just worried about my dad, but mostly I am fine.”
“Okay, but why are you crying?”
She wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand and she managed a soft smile. “I’m not crying, just allergic to the universe.”
“Are you sure?”
“Course I’m sure, Tommy. I’m on a roller coaster that only goes up,” Lia hummed as she forced a bright smile onto her face. “But what about you? What’s up with my favorite rock star?”
Up too late watching Netflix? Happens to the best of us, love.
Lia managed a small smile, “Definitely. I think I need to deactivate my account.”
You know sleeping during the day actually helps with stress and your health. Or, you could always talk to someone if you’re upset with whatever.
Lia managed a small smile as she brushed her hair out of her face. “But sleep is for the weak. Pizza and netflix and all that tumblr jazz,” she mumbled, and she tried to keep her tone light but it fell flat.
“I’m fine. Really. M’ just tired.”

Thomas: Why is it that people can't get orders right?
Thomas: It's not that hard to make a green juice smoothie. It's California for god sake.
Lia: They're doing you a favor.
Lia: Green juice is not supposed to be consumed, scientific fact.
“Well, Viv, it has been very nice meeting you, even if the circumstances were a bit more nude than I’m accustomed to. Right, I’ll just leave you to it then.”
Chill. It’s all good. You’re lucky I’m in a good mood.
“Right. Chill. Got it. Sorry. Um, I’m Lia.”
“I just mean you’re quite the… Individual.”
“Ah. What gave me away, the knitting, or the extensive Battlestar Galactica trivia knowledge?”
“I’m not sure I know how to say it without sounding like an asshole.”
“Well, now it can’t be worse than what I’m imagining it was.”
“Do you want me to call a cab for you or something?” He asked as he paced back and forth in his dorm room, biting on his thumb nail.
Lia smiled softly and shook her head, a little too buzzed to realized he couldn’t’ see her. After a moment of silence she said, “No, I’m fine. I can call someone else, and if they can’t I’ll call a cab. I’d drive myself home, but the bartender took my keys away.” She pouted.
