Be gentle with yourself, you are healing.

Don’t wait for anybody to complete you

make peace with the fact that not everyone is meant to be in your life forever. some people are only temporary, and that’s okay. feel the pain of loss, grow from the experiences they gave, and then cherish the memories made. don’t worry; you will find your forever people.

that moment when your throat burns and it’s hard to swallow, when your eyes blur with unshed tears and your face flushes. that moment when you realize the breakdown you’ve pushed off all week has been set off by something so minuscule that maybe if you felt better you could’ve laughed about it. that moment when you know you are no longer in control of this situation. that moment when the tears are smeared across your cheekbones when you look in the mirror. that moment when you attempt a watery smile at your reflection that only makes you feel worse. that moment when you sit cross-legged on the floor and just stare at the wall in front of you. that moment when you can’t take care of yourself, not now, not yet. that moment when you’re there, but you really not. that moment with every emotion and no emotions simultaneously. that moment when you know you’re alone, truly alone, in this moment here. that moment when your world just crumbled to pieces but life must go on.
