there is something incredibly magnetic about jimin. at first glance, he’s the adorable boy with the pretty features. and even though he is beautiful, his heart is far more gorgeous. the person behind the visuals is far more interesting and endearing. if there’s anything that needs to be known about jimin, it’s these four things: how kind and thoughtful he is, how much he loves his members, how sweet and adorable he really is, and how talented he is. the boy is an enigma. jimin is an incredibly empathetic person. he easily comforts and is there as a reassuring presence when the others are feeling any type of heightened emotion. he understands and can relate to their pain or hurt. he is always full of compliments for the others. he wants the others to know how much he appreciates them and how loved they are by him. jimin is never quiet when it comes to his affection for the others, and in fact, is rather shameless when he shows concern for them or is wanting to speak kindly of them. his words follow up with his actual actions. he started the trend to giving birthday presents to his members, and they’re always thoughtful. (watch namjoon acting excited over his ryan cake, a gift from namjoon) he never did it to receive anything back, but because this is how he shows his love for his boys. during bon voyage, jimin bought food for the some members who otherwise would have gone hungry. jimin is so thoughtful and has such a kind heart.
his love for the others is so wholesome and sweet. it’s not a hidden secret that everyone loves and adores jimin, but jimin loves them back just as much, if not more. in his most recent v-live he expresses how much he loves his members and wants to be them. he doesn’t feel comfortable being in a room alone (thank you angel hobi). he’s always so supportive of his members solo projects. whether it’s by showing up and surprising them or showing his support via social media, jimin is always an encouraging and supportive member. this last reason is a bit silly, but he’s extremely loyal to bangtan, and I can’t stop remembering his pettiness toward namjoon on knowing brothers when bangtan lost. but his loyalty reside with bangtan, and he loves them endlessly. let’s pause for a minute and talk about how sweet he is. he’s always hugging and cuddling his members, showing skinship is like second nature to him. he’s so fond of his members. jimin laughing cutely over namjoon’s passionate defence in the run episode shows how fond he is of his members mannerisms and what he finds endearing. let’s not forget how sweet he is with fans though. he’s always asking us not to worry about him and to always eat and to not get sick. during fansigns he’s always acting cute and sweet, and he never holds back when it comes to holding hands or trying to get fans to stop crying. he spends so much time on v-live with us. he’d probably spend hours on it if he could, because he’s so grateful for all that we’ve done for him, and he recognizes that and is so appreciative. he’s so active on social media, constantly tweeting. he feeds the fan so well, and i hope he continues to do so because he wants too and doesn’t feel forced to.
I will end with this. jimin has so much talent. that talent is only able to be shown through his hard work ethic and dedication for always wanting to show an improved appearance. it’s no secret that jimin is insecure and doesn’t think he’s good enough half of the time, but as fans, we all know the truth. the truth is jimin shines when he’s on stage. we can see how hard he works and how much effort he expends in each performance. there is a reason for him being one of the top students in his school for dance. his vocals have improved greatly over the years, and namjoon’s choice to have him have the intro track for ‘love yourself: her’ was a smart one. his light, airy, almost breathy vocals opening up the album brought so much color and diversity. his vocals were the first taste we, as fans, got for love yourself:her, and it was beautiful. and although he deserves to have someone more trained who can help him understand his voice so he can be more confident in himself, jimin always exceeds expectations. jimin is far more than just a pretty face for people to objectify and grossly sexualize. he is a person who is so kind and compassionate. he’s so empathetic and sweet. he’s so hard-working and talented, and yes he is insecure and lacks confidence, but all of these traits make him distinctly human, and not an object for fans to pervert. please appreciate jimin for more than just his face and body. he has always been far more than that.
