I am so sorry!  You asked this a week ago, and I haven’t been on tumblr! ;_;

I haven’t looked for it online recently so I don’t know.  :/  Back in the day only the pilot was online.  It was sort of a backstory for Klaus.  None of the other characters were in it, I don’t think.

Honestly, I could dig around for you, but I would just be googling “read Kekkai Sensen online” and you could do that just as easily as I could. XD

If you can, though, do please buy the actual manga.  I’ve found them easily at both “brick and mortar” bookstores and online on amazon and such.  It gives credit (and money) where credit is due.  (But I probably don’t have to tell you that whole spiel.)

i havent found it actually x) only the first 3 chapters and the pilot one-shot are online. I WILL buy it, someday, im a fan of trigun and have all of trimax but, not being in a country where they sell kekkai and only being able to buy online after begging my parents for help, its a huge drain so i’d rather buy them later. Right now I guess i’ll have to do with the anime, which i hear isnt going 100% as the manga, i think? Thanks for replying!

Yeah, the anime and manga are close, but not totally the same.  Actually the manga is full of stand-alone adventures, while the anime is using those same adventures, but also building up an over-arcing plotline with White and Black.  So even those of us who are caught up on the manga don’t know what’s going to happen with those two.  They’re totally new! (And I’m excited.  They have me so intrigued!)

But the manga is still good to have because the stories as they appear in the anime are abridged compared to the manga. (I think it’s a combo. of time constraints and trying to make room for White and Black.)  So the manga will give you the full-length versions of the stories, plus a few extra stories that seem to be getting left out.

So, K.K. and Chain are the only women in Libra, and I just can’t help noticing their character designs.

I wonder if this was an intentional homage to Nightow’s other characters, or if some character design elements are just so ingrained in his subconscious that he reuses them without it really meaning anything.

Interesting resemblance either way.

I'm sure I'm just being an idiot, but did Funimation get the rights to air the show or dub it?

Ah, no, that’s not a stupid question!

Unfortunately, though, my answer is, “I don’t know for sure either.” XD

They definitely have the rights to sub and stream it (it’s on their site HERE) but beyond that, I can’t say.  Their announcement simply said they had the rights to it, but didn’t specify if it was just the rights to stream it or if they had the rights to dub and distribute as well.  I’m leaning toward the idea of Funimation having ALL the rights, for various reasons, but I’d hate to say anything for certain lest I end up being wrong. : P

Cecil's counterpart in Jerusalem's Lot would inform everyone of the bizarre-o events happening around the city.

"And now a word from our sponsors.  In the mood for fast food?  Visit Greg's Diner on 23rd and Broadway.  Come hungry!  Eat fast!  *menacing tone* Before IT eats YOU..."

King Femt calls in for inane complaints or to announce his hair-brained schemes.  Sometimes he prank calls, but you can recognize his voice.

There's some poor city official who's the equivalent of Mayor Pamela Winchell, and they would like to remind everyone that there is NO sea monster in the waters off Jerusalem's Lot.  There are no. such things. as sea monsters.  The tentacles were just sea spray being blown into the air.  "I will not be taking questions from the press at this time, as I have an appointment with my therapist."

"And so, another day in Jersusalem's Lot comes to an end.  But New York was, after all, the city that never sleeps.  And who know what, in this city, is only waking up, opening glowing eyes and crawling from dark alleyways, as the rest of us go to bed?
