Up until now… I’ve always… kept my composure. Staying calm and poised. I’ve always tried to weigh all of my actions on those ‘scales’ you spoke of. But… As foolish and ill-advised as Kurosaki’s actions are… I just couldn’t help but follow his lead. The thing with him is, once he gets it in his head to help someone, he just goes and does it. No questions asked. Inoue’s cut from the same cloth - as is Sado - and Kuchiki - and Abarai. And if in any way… I have started to resemble that motley crew, even in the slightest… It would bring me immense joy. You said that the scale is filled with your decisions. Well, my decision was to be with them. But it wasn’t to extract anything, gain an advantage or anything of the sort. It wasn’t right, and it wasn’t wrong. I simply chose to do it… Because they are my friends.

just a little fyi: i don’t generally write with those who don’t make an effort to talk to me. which sounds really shitty but lmao. if you talk to me in tags or if we’ve already started talking via im/message, then you’re totally fine. like at least give me an emoji or something and i’ll be content. it makes me uncomfortable because i don’t feel like i’m connecting correctly to the person behind the muse? and that’s pretty vital with developing friendships between characters for me.

uryu takes care of little succulents ! they’re poised on the windowsill of his apartment. he’s been taking care of them for a few years, and even recently bought a small cactus !

Sado could almost feel Uryu watching the ground as they walked, trying to make certain he didn’t trip. Though, he hoped the other man knew that he would catch him if a movement was made towards the ground. He would never let his boyfriend fall. Not as long as he was close enough to keep him up. “I suppose we should go. We can always leave early, then they can’t complain about us not coming at all.” It would be fun, they both knew it would. It was just more fun to spend time alone together. “Good.” Was all Sado responded, a smile on his face as they walked into the store. “Take your time, always. Maybe I could even help out. If I..knew how to do it.” He let out a low chuckle as he looked at the different colors of thread lining the walls. “Maybe that’s something you could teach me, hmm?”
ishida had reluctantly let go of sado’s hand. enough to drag fingers across the wall of thread. he only needed an orange shade , but why not shop for a few others while he was here ? ❝ i’ll teach you , if you want to learn. once you get the hang of it , it’s pretty easy. ❞ he fingered the shade of orange that attracted his eye , lips pursing as he did a once over of the current stock they had in. yeah , that one would work well. along with this shade of red , brown , purple , and lime green.
❝ this is my only stop. ❞ he had to shop for groceries but since he was staying at sado’s , that could wait until tomorrow. he made his way over to the counter , sliding the correct amount across the counter with maybe a few extra bills before announcing to keep the change and gathering up the thread into his messenger bag. ❝ lead the way ? ❞ he gave his boyfriend a soft smile , hand reaching out and fingers wiggling , a silent request to take his hand once more.
