Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 695 Divine Wine

This is the final of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "695 Divine Wine". To quickly sum up my main review, if this is the only color you were interested in, overall these are really good lipsticks from the drugstore; they're creamy and non-drying, but still matte. They are a bit on the thinner side, but they don't feel like straight up vaseline! I really recommend checking these out! You can check out my general review here.

This is the last color in the range and I knew I wanted it. I'm always on the lookout for a deeper shade that doesn't make your teeth look absolutely terrible AND applies somewhat nicely, and this one comes about as close as I've found thus far. I like that it's more of a reddish tone than a purply deep berry. This can be a bit tricky (that's the nature of dark colors though) to work with, but the texture is light and creamy and I do really like this color.

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 690 Siren In Scarlet

This is the ninth of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "690 Siren In Scarlet". To quickly sum up my main review, if this is the only color you were interested in, overall these are really good lipsticks from the drugstore; they're creamy and non-drying, but still matte. Red is my favorite color of lip products, so I do really enjoy this lipstick. Especially for a drugstore matte! I will say, I prefer the matte red from Milani (not the new specifically matte collection ones, this one has been out since they redid their Color Statement lipsticks) to this one, but I DO like this color. It's more of a warmer red, not quite like "Ruby Woo" from MAC but definitely way more comfortable. This color is smooth and pigmented and I do enjoy it.

This is the definite red lipstick from the line, although "Craving Coral" looks pretty red in the tube.

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 685 Craving Coral

This is the eighth of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "685 Craving Coral". This is my favorite color from the whole range. To quickly sum up my main review, if this is the only color you were interested in, overall these are really good lipsticks from the drugstore; they're creamy and non-drying, but still matte. This is, hands down, my favorite color from the whole line. It's creamy and matte and pigmented and very much a reddish-orange, so if that's not your thing...Well, you might want to pass this one because it is BRIGHT. I absolutely love the color, the texture, the pigmentation is great...This is my personal favorite and if you like warmer reds and oranges, you'll probably really enjoy this color.

It looks pretty darn red in the tube, only by applying and swatching do you notice a difference from the actual red in the collection, "Siren In Scarlet".

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 680 Mesmerizing Magenta

This is the seventh of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "680 Mesmerizing Magenta". To quickly sum up my main review, if this is the only color you were interested in, overall these are really good lipsticks from the drugstore; they're creamy and non-drying, but still matte. This lipstick is interesting. Whereas all of the other colors have a creamy matte finish and texture, this shade has a blue duochrome shimmer. It's not glitter, it's not a frost, but it's definitely noticeable. I'm not crazy about this type of tone on me, it's a bit deeper and more berry than I expected. It takes a bit more work to get full pigmentation because it feels a tiny bit drier than the other nine.

It look similar in the tube to the sixth color, "Faint For Fuchsia" but is a bit darker and has that noticeable shimmer.

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 675 Faint For Fuchsia

This is the sixth of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "675 Faint For Fuchsia" and this color is pretty fun and bright. To quickly sum up my main review, if this is the only color you were interested in, overall these are really good lipsticks from the drugstore; they're creamy and non-drying, but still matte. This shade has a creamy texture but if you have any bit of moisture on your lips, it can apply a bit patchy. I do enjoy this shade, this is the type of neon bright pink that I can dig and it's also matte. I like this color, but I'm not in love with it. I feel like lots of brands make colors quite similar and I just don't find that it's the kind of color you should run out to buy (you can always take a cream-finish and mattify it with powder).

However, the pigmentation and texture of this lipstick is awesome, so if you want a bright fuchsia matte, this one is decently priced and a definite good choice. It look similar in the tube to the seventh color, "Mesmerizing Magenta" but is a lot brighter and completely matte.

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 670 Ravishing Rose

This is the fifth of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "670 Ravishing Rose" and I'm not particularly crazy for this color. The texture on this color was a bit thinner and slicker than the others. It was still matte, not shiny in any way, but this color liked to settle in fine lines and applied a teeny bit streaky. It's a brighter pink and it's just not the type of bright pink I dig. It also made my teeth look a bit funky and, well, I'm not about that life, lol.

It look similar in the tube to the fourth color, "Lust For Blush" but not quite.

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 665 Lust For Blush

This is the fourth of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "665 Lust For Blush" and I love this lipstick. This is the kind of pink that I normally dig, and I love mattes, so this is right up my alley. This is my second favorite color out of the ten, and the first one I KNEW I wanted (I watched a couple of first impression videos, yaaaas) and it does not disappoint. It's more of a mauvy-pink and I don't know why I love those purply-toned pinks, but I do. It's still pink, it just has that something.

Texture-wise, this color feels a bit thinner than the others, but it still applies pigmented and smooth, so I'll ignore the texture, yeah? Highly recommend this color! It look similar in the tube to the fifth color, "Ravishing Rose" but not quite.

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 660 Touch of Spice

This is the third of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "660 Touch of Spice" and I'm going to see if my mother likes it. Review in a nutshell; to me, this is a MOM color. Which, go figure, every blogger and YT-er loves it, lol. To quickly sum up my main review, if this is the only color you were interested in, overall these are really good lipsticks from the drugstore; they're creamy and non-drying, but still matte. Frankly, this is my least favorite color and I'm not surprised. I almost didn't purchase it but it was one of two that I hadn't purchased so I went for it. And I wasn't wrong, haha. This is a very brownish-rosy color which looks GREAT on so many bloggers and YT-ers...just not me. And I wouldn't want it to look good on me anyway because, well, I think it's just boring and ugly.

That being said, the pigmentation, texture, and wear of this color is impeccable. Seriously, it's thicker and creamier feeling than a lot of the other colors, applies so smooth without skipping or streaking, and is crazy pigmented so if you were looking at this particular color, GO FOR IT!! :)

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 655 Daringly Nude

This is the second of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "655 Daringly Nude" and I really like this color. Out of the two nudes, this is my definite favorite! I REALLY like this color. It's a definite nude, but it's more of a pinky nude and less brown, which is my usual preference. A lot of times brown or peachy nudes can just look very dull or blah on me. The color is great, the texture is smooth and creamy but it's a bit more thin on me than the first nude; you'll want to exfoliate your lips with this one!

It's similar enough to the second color in the range BUT they're different enough that I feel most people will go for one or the other. Me, I like "655 Daringly Nude" better!

Maybelline Matte Color Sensational Lipstick in 650 Nude Embrace

This is going to be the first of ten little posts about the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks. This particular color is "650 Nude Embrace" and even though it's the first color in the range, it's actually darker on me, go figure! This is one of the colors that I, personally, would pass on. I'm not super crazy about brown-toned nudes, either for my teeth or my face. It's a nicely pigmented color with a decent texture, and it applies evenly without streaking but it's just not really my thing!

LE Wet N Wild Mega Last Matte Lipstick in "Sweet Cream"

So, I’ve never actually reviewed the Wet N Wild Mega Last lipsticks on my main blog before, but it’s a formula that I really do enjoy. These lipsticks are $2.99 at most drugstores and they’re crazy pigmented with a semi-matte finish and a huge variety of shades to pick from.

They can be a bit drying on the lips (lip balm is your friend) and you can apply too much and end up with an unflattering cakey look. Also, a HUGE negative is the packaging; half the time these lipsticks come broken in the tube AND the product doesn’t twist down all of the way so if you’re clumsy like me, you’ll make a mess out of these quite easily.

That being said, I found some LE matte finish lipsticks at Walgreens (I guess they coordinate with the LE matte polishes) and I bought all four shades. This particular color review is on “Sweet Cream”. (I reviewed “Sunset Siren”, “Urban Night, and “Bordeaux Boulevard" as well.)

This is my second favorite out of the four LE matte colors. Again, the finish isn’t fully matte, but it’s more matte than the other three on me, not sure why! This is a super awesome nude though; more pink comes through when applied, even though in the tube it appears more brown. Applies smoothly and is opaque in one layer for me. Overall, this is the most natural color in this collection and I definitely enjoy it. I don’t think WNW has a nude quite like this; most are a lot more pink or more peachy, and the Fergie ones are more of your typical fleshy concealer/brown nudes. Plus, this lipstick wasn’t broken, nor has it broken yet, knock on wood!

This is a bright orange-red. It’s soft and applies nicely in one swipe. I didn’t have staining issues. I usually prefer blue-based reds, because they make my teeth look nice, but even though this is a warmer red, I didn’t have funky teeth issues. This is my favorite out of the four, but it’s really soft and is already broken in the tube. It dries down a bit more matte but, honestly, this is *mostly* a cream finish lipstick…I’m not getting a super matte finish with this one.
