Welcome to my Hikaru Sulu (the Original Series) RP blog! Feel free to ask him about his job, plants, swords, or whatever else is on your mind!

This has been known to happen from time to time, yes. Chekov makes a pretty decent pirate, tho he’s always a Russian one (no surprise there).
Fighting does dissolve into kissing sometimes — what’s more romantic than interrupting a sword fight with a kiss??
Ooc: Somebody PLEASE make a Chekov blog, the only one on here isn’t active and Sulu would get up to so many shenanigans with him if there was one!
I can neither confim nor deny the kissing.
Also the Enterprise doesn’t have whatever a holodeck is, we just do it in the gymnasium

Hehhh, we’ve been over this, Chekov! Yermak Timofeyevich and Stenka Razin were Russian pirates but Blackbeard was English. Tho i suppose Space Blackbeard could have a totally different origin...
We suspect Chekov never received swimming lessons. We may have thrown him into a lake on shore leave. We assumed he would float. He did not. There was a lot of screaming. Bones had to go in and get him. Jim said we aren’t allowed near bodies of water anymore.

Do you perhaps grow...berries in the botany lab? Or just the plants that spray stuff on people?
I certainly do, definitely NOT a space bear! (By the way, bears are welcome on the U.S.S. Enterprise as long as they behave themselves :)
There are a number of excellent species in the botany lab including blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries, strawberries, raspberries, klorbberries, Ta’er berries, and even blimberries! Actually, don’t eat those last ones — the last person to eat them ended up in the Med Bay for a week...

[It’s silent for a minute and then another scratch followed by what sounds like tiny knives being dragged across metal.]
That’s it, i’m out of here! Hopefully Scotty figures it out when he wakes up...

*hearing the shuffling steps of someone walking past, Samuel rushes to the nearest grate, peering through with shocking yellow eyes*

*it's Lieutenant Sulu! Samuel doesn't really have a firm grasp on military ranks, more so seeing it as Me→Spock→everyone else, but Sulu was nice enough, though it was frustrating to not be allowed into the Arboretum, something about plants poisonous for cats. As if he would be foolish enough to eat them!*
*none the less, surely Lieutenant Sulu would help him. He drags his paws against the grate, and when that doesn't work, tries to shove a white paw through the slots. Alas! Too many tuna treats have made him too plump, so all he manages is to shuffle his claws against the metal, letting out a dismayed growl when Sulu fled*

[Later that night, Sulu wakes up to the horrible thought that maybe the noises in the vents were tribbles… He wonders if any of the ship cats* (and they do seem to be multiplying) are on patrol.]

Mmm, chocolate for sure! The peanut ones are good but i prefer how small the chocolate ones are. But the peanut butter ones? That’s a different story...
[Twirling hair] I wouldn't have minded being a fair maiden in need of a swashbuckler's saving...
[Sulu looks a bit taken aback.]
Uhh, alright then? I’ll keep you in mind if i’m ever up to saving any maidens (which in all honestly, i’ll probably have to do next shore party. We do often get into a lot of trouble on those missions…).
(I do want to emphasize that the saving would be purely platonic unless you identify somewhere in the more masculine direction. But don’t worry, as a swashbuckler, my sword-wielding rescue services are available to anyone regarding of gender, sexuality, species, biochemical makeup, etc!
(Ooc: how do y’all feel when rp blogs use colored text? it is difficult to read? i like when others do it and am trying it out, but i will change it back if it’s hard on anybody’s eyes. Just let me know :)

💐 Hey Mr. Sulu! I'm working on a big project, and I need some ideas for a bouquet! Specifically, one for you!
You could list a couple of your favorite flowers, but here are some I already have that reminded me of you!
Dahlia (Orange, strength, bravery)
2. Snapdragon (Pink-Yellow fade, courage, heroism)
3. Lavender (calm, devotion --to job and ship--)
4. Sword Lily (Yellow + Purple, honor, respect, joy. Also kind of picked it because it was called the "sword" lily. Thought that was fun)
Do you have any ideas for the bouquet?
If you're wondering, I'm making drawings of a few people from the Enterprise crew, and I wanted to draw everyone with flowers :]
(do you want to see Sulu's when it's done? thought i'd ask the coolest Sulu blog what flowers they'd like to see!)
Oh my goodness, anon, this is so sweet of you!! I absolutely love your flower choices for me and feel incredibly honored by the thought you’ve put into this project of yours!
If I were to add one flower to my bouquet, it would be Poet’s Wife roses or another yellow rose. No particularly special meaning there except that I adore the scent of these flowers and my mother has them growing in her garden back home.
