How To Find Your Unclaimed Funds 2021 FREE | How To Find Unclaimed Property Money

Every year billions of dollars in unclaimed funds and property are turned over to the state by different companies, corporations and entities who cannot locate the proper owners. Some of these funds come from different sources like banking institutions safety deposit vaults Estates, money orders that were never cashed, insurance policies, different types of government benefits and a whole lot of other sources.

Since companies can’t hold onto money that’s owed to the recipient forever they can only hold tangible property that’s unclaimed by the owner for a certain amount of time period. It is then turned over to the state or county where the funds originated from. Below is a list of different types of entities that could possibly owe you money/property/unclaimed funds. Keep in mind that this is not an extensive list, this just gives you an idea so if you’re doing your own research you’ll know where and how to properly Google to find and pinpoint where and if you are owed money.

Here is a short example: Public and private pension proceeds, safety deposit box contacts, utility companies, loan companies, insurance companies, banking institutions, jury duty funds just to name a few.

That’s why it’s a good practice that if you find a site or link that you can check periodically to make sure that if there are funds owed to you or to a loved one or to a friend. You should check it often because some states have an active legislation that would enable that state to use the funds for other things to compensate budget deficit and other things that your state needs to cover. So basically they’re not gonna go out of their way looking for you if they owe you money. It’s up to you.

Some of the links I provide are just quick links for you to look up information. A lot of this is research that will be done by you by googling your state or county to see if there’s unclaimed funds and using the right search terminology to locate that information. There are companies that you can pay to look for assets or unclaimed funds, but if you can start looking for yourself for free why not.
