I’ve finally lifted over $500 in a haul!!! This is such a major milestone for me and I am so glad that I’ve progressed into what you see here. My lifting buddy was a key player in helping me grab all of this stuff, and without her, I don’t know where I’d be. (She’s been lifting for years; For example, we went into Pink and I thought I grabbed a blot because I had around $300 worth of clothes, and she whips out one lingerie set that costed more than $300 on its own. Today I told my friend she should come to the mall with me and she was like “but I can’t spend any more money” and I was about to blow my cover when I realized most people pay for all their stuff

I don’t post a lot of hauls. Mostly because I don’t DO a lot of “aesthetic” hauls. I don’t use or want MK purses or Urban Decay primers. My wardrobe, even now that I lift, can easily fit inside a set of three drawers. I don’t have the resources to drive to big cities with twelve malls in them and hit up every one, I work five days a week with overtime almost every week, and I don’t have the time to plan and pull off a major heist. I don’t have parents supplying me with food or paying my bills (not bashing those who do, at all!), and sometimes paying for those things makes it impossible to even get enough gas to drive farther than work and back.

Sometimes, I have a little extra, and I’ve been working to slowly replace my wardrobe with things that fit me better or that make me happy. But I can’t even do that once every few paychecks right now. I get disappointed with myself a lot, because I see all of these amazing hauls, and I just have to remind myself: that’s not me. And maybe that’s not you, either. But that’s okay. Because in the end we all do the same thing, more or less.

This is a typical haul for me. I don’t have enough money to afford gas to get my stove working yet, so most of what my household eats is sandwiches or ready made/microwaveable. I do little trips like this maybe twice a week.

The moral of this post is this: don’t be upset because you can’t lift everything that everyone else does. Don’t be upset that your hauls aren’t pretty or expensive. Don’t be upset that you’re too anxious to lift from sephora.
