BE NICE WHEN LIFTING

So a lot of y'all know I work at anthr0 and man do we get so many high school aged girls (I'm 20 btw) who come in as a group with large purses and larger attitudes and it just screams suspicion. If I'm working the fitting room and you come back there acting standoffish or just plain rude then I'm immediately suspicious of you. On top of that, if you're being rude to me, I'm about 100x more likely to examine your fitting room and number of items more than normal and I'm more likely to mention something over the walkies about it. If you come back there and you're friendly and sweet then I'm a lot less likely to report anything suspicious about you. Also just be nice to SA's in general no matter if you're shopping or lifting. Working retail sucks.

DIVERSION SAFES

I just thought of this idea at 2 am so I apologize if it’s not good.

I know people use these to hide weed and stuff already (along with those who use it how it should be used). So maybe these are pretty good for hiding small items like mascara or something. These are the most practical I’ve seen that someone might carry in their bag so far, however there are plenty more.

I’ve only see them online, so you’d have to purchase it.

So Aritzia has invisible towers and I’ve walked out with tags in foil dozens of times and never beeped. I knew they had to have towers, and yet I’ve looked everywhere for them and seen none.

As I’m about to walk out with a slew of their tags on my person, two girls enter before me and the gates go crazy. Red starts flashing everywhere and it’s incredibly loud for twenty seconds. I wait till it calms down and walk out. No beeping.

I was shocked even though I knew that there had to be towers at a place like that. They’re absolutely invisible.

I work at anthro and we hard tag anything over 158$ and all denim now. My store doesn't RFID anything but I've seen other stores that do. We test our towers every morning we call it our daily "EAS audit". When I started working there we didn't hard tag anything because we were a new store not expecting much theft but we was wrong lol my store is a lifter hotspot and we barely ever catch people while they're still in the store. It's always later when we find price tags and packaging which is so funny cause they didn't even need to remove it.

hey do you have any tips for lifting like diet pills and stuff?

If I lift diet pills I always do from CVS. I'll pick the ones I want, conceal in my blind spot, then go to the bathroom to de-tag. Normally they come in a box and the box will have an RFID tag on it but you aren't done there oh no no no, normally or at least at my CVS there's another RFID tag inside the box on the actual bottle. So yeah I flush the tags down the toilet cause fuck that shit. Then just leave or buy something if you feel sketchy. Be careful with those though. They really are addictive if you're seeing results and give me such bad headaches and I feel very on edge.
