âWell thanks, âŠ?â Margaret smiled, eyebrows raise to ask the girl her name.
âAriel Coulson.â She smiled introducing herself.
âI mean, a cat is a pretty awesome form to take.â
âYeah, I just hope Iâll get better at shifting into people.â

âAwesome, have you talked to your siblings yet?â He asked before frowning slightly. âIâve been okay. Not great, but good.â
Yeah, I talked to Foster and Stella.â She said before noticing her fatherâs frown. She knew her family had been through a lot when the school had been attacked and they had lost a brother and he a son. âYou know, if you ever need anything, Iâm here.â
âWell alright. Your very kind.â She smiled, helping with the books. âI swear Iâm not usually this much of a klutz.â
Ariel picked up several books and stood straight holding them out to the woman. âI wonât judge you, I can be a bit clumsy too.â
âDo you have like, a go-to form that you shift into most often?â Stella grimaced. âPhysically, fine. Got pretty lucky actually.â
âUm, usually animals are the easiest for me, I seem to shift to a cat a lot more than anything else.â
Margaret liked to think she could only walk with a purpose. Head held high, ponytail bouncing behind her. Her stride was ever confident, despite being completely positive she had no idea where the classroom she was looking for was. If it was meant to be, She thought, than Iâll findââomph!â
Her foot caught on a tree root. She lunged forward before regaining her footing to keep from falling. Her books, on the other hand, flew from her bag and spread out in front of her.Â
She sighed, just looking at the bags for a moment. someone had seen and reached down to help. âNo, just leave them. Iâll grab them in a second.âÂ
Ariel had been walking by when she noticed the girl trip. Being her caring self she rushed over to help the girl. She shook her head as the girl spoke.Â
âI insist you let me help.â She said continuing to gather the book. âIt would be rude not to.â
âI apologize to whoever is around me, but the Olympics are on and thereâs no way youâre going to stop me from cheering.â
âI donât mind, I enjoy the Olympics too, so Iâll be cheering with you.â
âWhy do these training situations seem to be getting easier?â
âOr maybe your just getting better.â
âHowâs it been going?â Stella asked interestedly. âIâve beenâŠtravelling. Got to the old school right before it blew up.â She didnât mention Matt. It had been months, but she didnât know if she could.â
âItâs been going okay, I have trouble staying in one form for too long, but Iâm getting better.â She the turned serious. âI heard about hat happened, I was worried, I wish I could have came sooner. Are you okay?â
âfigured you could use some. anyways how are you?â
âIâm good, still getting settled in, this place is pretty big. You?â
âWhatâs your favourite type of pizza?â
âProbably pepperoni or margarita. Whatâs yourâs?â
âWell I for one am really happy to see you.â He said, turning off his phone. âSo are you settling in nicely?â
âYeah. I got my stuff all organized in my room. How have you been though?â
He turned, brightening. âAri!â Wes called out, walking over to hug her. âHow have you been, blondie?â
Ariel hugged him back smiling. âHey! Iâve been good, what about you?â
âYeah, he pretty consistently is stressed,â Stella realized with a start that she hadnât seen her sister since sheâd ran off, almost four years ago. â But anyway, how are you? What have you been up to?â
It had been a while since she had seen her sister, but she didnât want to bring up the past. She had missed Stella, a lot. âWell, you know, Iâve been training, learning to control my powers. What about you?â
âAwesome,â Foster grinned, âLet me just go grab some food and Iâll meet you back at the table.â
âOkay.â She said turning to put her books back in her bag.
âWell consider me surprised,â Stella grinned. âHave you seen Dad yet?â
âYeah, I talked to him earlier for a bit. He seemed worried, but I guess he always does.â
