“Do it scared” “do it alone” are all great tips, but my biggest takeaway from therapy is do it messy. This is especially true if you’re getting out of a burnout, which I experience often. Literally just do it messy. You don’t need to pick the perfect trail to walk, the perfect playlist to listen to, whatever the fuck it is. You don’t need to have a meticulous to do list and wake up at the exact time you planned and drink the exact amount of water you planned to drink. Like the biggest thing for people like me to remember is sometimes it’s okay to do it messy. Put on a random yt workout and just get it done in sweats. Do 5 minutes of a daunting task and go from there. Sometimes just getting up is a win during intense burnouts or depressive funks. Literally just do it messy.
Once again, I'm dealing with a hurtful state of financial crisis. I suffer from severe OCD, depression, and recently severe bouts of fatigue. I also had been experiencing, in addition of my chronic lack of balance, quick flashes of slippery conciousness, leading to me hitting walls, falling in moving stairs, and dropping my phone (I don't even count) If I could get 650$ in the immediate hours/day.
I could buy myself clothing (and preferably some shoes), bedding, toiletry, and the cost ensued from having to stay outside as much as possible because of the abusive environment I ultimately have to go back to.
Today I got to do one of my favorite things, telling a white man the real and heinous history of how Hawaiʻi became a state, why they still should still be sovereign, and inadvertently how America ain’t shit.
And he actually kind of listened to me which is the outcome you hope for but never really expect.
Palestinians asking for help on the internet are breathing, living human beings with meaningful lives. Full stop. It is our responsibility to listen to, to care for, to love these Palestinian people while they are alive.
Stop believing Palestinian stories when only when they’ve been killed. Stop caring for Palestinians only when they are lifeless.

Jamal al-Najjar was a real, living child. He was a son, a cousin. A baby. He loved playing and eating candy. His life mattered. All 5 years of his life, he was a human being who mattered. His life was ended by the deliberate starvation of Palestinians by israel. Days before he died, he told his family goodbye and that he knows he will soon pass away.
My friend, Ibrahim al-Najjar @ebrahimtarek2002 matters. He is a real, living, breathing young man who means the world to me, his friends, and family. You have the opportunity to care while he is alive. You have the opportunity to save him.

it’s 2026 progressives have got to stop carrying water for the klan with think pieces about how people of different races are fundamentally incompatible
racism can and does impact interracial couples, both from within and from outside the relationship. the issue with woke antimiscegenation is that it assumes this is an insurmountable issue that makes interracial relationships inherently problematic (at best) or fundamentally incompatible (at worst). it also assumes that there are strict and definable lines between racial groups which simply isn’t the case in any country on this planet because race itself is fundamentally superficial.
it’s one thing to discuss how racism impacts interracial relationships and how couples navigate those issues but it’s giving david duke to suggest that the mere fact that a couple is interracial makes the relationship inherently suspect.
