Goodbye MESSENGER

NASA’s MESSENGER spacecraft, orbiting Mercury, is currently plunging to its death. It’s out of fuel and every orbit becomes smaller then the last. Tomorrow it will collide into the surface of Mercury.

On its way down, the determined spacecraft is still sending stunning imagery for us to study and enjoy.
