accomplishments. this leads to laziness and a need for validation that may or may not be earned. and thats it. people are taught to think they are beautiful without trying to be beautiful, and due to the fact that being thin and pretty is just as prized here as anywhere else, the fat people (especially those in the lower class) get screwed over, and instead of changing themselves (many dont know anything but their shit lifestyle) they just become narcissistic.
the reason so many american fat girls are the way they are is not because america likes fat people. they are more common but not necessarily well liked. we have a large processed food industry, making shit food cheaper than healthy food. this, coupled with how expensive sport clubs can be and less recess in public schools, means that lower class people tend to be fatter, especially black and mexicans. the us also has a "self esteem campaign" that, while well intentioned, makes petty...
