My dear friend Katherine Salnek's work opens tonight at the shop from 6-9. If you can't make it, it will be up until June 25th. Large scale pieces as well as smaller mulitples will be for sale.

Katherine is a weaver, working with a floor loom in her home studio. This collection is called Rising Reflections and it speaks to light, space, and sound; It is certainly something to see in person.

We are SO excited to welcome @juniperridge founder Hal Newbegin (@crawlonwetdirt) to the shop this Thursday for a meet and greet from 6-7. Hal started the company back in 1998 at the Berkeley Farmers Market. Since then, his love and adoration of the wilderness and its gifts have led him to a laborious career of wildcrafting non-medicinal products, working with state parks and forestry permits to utilize raw plant material that would otherwise be destroyed. Hal is hiking most days, and Juniper Ridge is the ONLY company in the world that uses 100 percent natural, plant-based fragrance. We are so excited to reopen and reveal our fresh start but we need a teenie bit more time. We will reopen this Thursday at noon and we hope that you will join us that evening for the celebration of The 4 Poets issue 2 release featuring an installation by Andi Clifford, a performance by Jordaan Mason, and readings by Toronto poet Bill Bissett. Lightdark Hill will be DJing the gentle vibes, and special thanks to Steamwhistle, Swimmers Group, and Brad Casey for their help with this free event. 7 - 10 pm

From the archive: 3 colour Risograph prints by Felix Kalmenson.  The result of several months of breeding mold on 35mm motion picture film which were then scanned at 12,000 dpi and reprinted here in sky blue, yellow and bright red risograph ink. 2012
