“One Step at a Time. What Exactly Happened?”
It’s finally time to share the first photo shoot pics of my Purah costume!
I still can’t believe it has been two years since I started this project. It feels amazing to say she is officially finished. Thank you to everyone who followed along this journey and cheered me on through all the struggles and suffering I went through. Her design was love at first sight. I didn’t just want to cosplay her, but I wanted to make her outfit as if I took it straight from the game. I love the feeling you get when you see movie costumes on display. I wanted to recreate that feeling, except it’s of my favorite Legend of Zelda characters. I love this build so much regardless of the con crunch and burnout struggles. Every part of this build was crafted with care. I’ve remade the shoes and the back of the wig twice. The glasses have tiny hinges. No visible glue on the wig, smooth 3D prints, fitted patterning, hand stitching and clean seams. There’s invisible zippers, snaps, and hooks in places no one will ever see and I made it to be competition ready. I’m incredibly proud and happy of this build and I hope my next build will be even better.
Hubby helped snap these shots for me, self shooting would have taken me twice as long especially since I was in public. I hope you enjoy these photos and many more to come.
