What gets me is how the names of influential Black people have been hidden and erased from history so much that we don’t even know if his name is really Nearis or Nearest… But it’s time to give credit where credit is due.

Went to the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee. My crew and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour & tasting. We also met Fawn Weaver, CEO & Founder of Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. She’s very pleasant. There is so much greatness that will be coming from this growing brand, as well as the distillery itself.
