Edward Nygma as a Caregiver!

Edward had noticed the signs almost right away.

You were quieter than usual, rubbing your eyes and holding onto the sleeve of his jacket without even realizing it.

He smiled softly.

"Well, well... I believe someone's feeling much smaller than they expected."

You gave a tiny nod.

Without another word, Edward gently took your hand.

"Come along, little one. I have the perfect experiment."

That made you blink curiously.

"...'Speriment?"

He chuckled.

"Indeed! A very safe, very colorful one."

Soon the kitchen table was covered with little cups, baking soda, food coloring, vinegar, and a muffin tin.

Edward helped you put a spoonful of baking soda into each cup.

"Excellent precision. A true junior scientist."

You giggled proudly.

Then came your favorite part.

Edward let you pick different food coloring for each cup, blue, green, purple, and red.

"So many pretty colors!" you squeaked.

Finally, he handed you a tiny cup of vinegar.

"Ready?"

You nodded excitedly.

You slowly poured it into the first cup.

Fffffzzzz!

The bubbly foam puffed right up!

Your eyes grew huge.

"It bubbled!!"

"It certainly did!" Edward laughed, clapping once.

You hurried to touch all the colors, giggling every time they fizzed over.

Edward watched with the biggest smile, making sure the vinegar didn't spill too much.

"My brilliant little assistant has exceeded every expectation."

You beamed.

When all the bubbles disappeared, you yawned loudly.

Edward noticed immediately.

"Ah... our scientist appears to be running low on energy."

He carefully wiped your hands with a warm cloth before lifting you into his lap.

You snuggled against his jacket, still thinking about the colorful bubbles.

"'Gain tomorrow?"

Edward kissed the top of your head and nodded.

"Definitely."

You giggled sleepily.

He wrapped a blanket around you and gently rocked you.

"For now," he whispered, "even the greatest scientists deserve a nice cuddle and a nap."
