writing a small leviamber drabble while I work on the VERY late bday fic (uni been keeping me busy smh)
cw- Post-NB lesson 40 timeline, everyone is aware that mc was yeeted to the past (cause i said so), maybe panic attack if u squint hard enough, levi has trauma after mc disappeared 3 days after his birthday and just- hurt/comfort
Amber's sudden disappearance 3 days after Levi's birthday was enough to instill fear on the demon of envy.
it was the middle of the night in the human world and Levi felt himself slowly wake up from the cold. The same feeling he got when Amber had disappeared.
He sleepily used his hands to find said human was who was sleeping beside him. Only to find the space where she was supposed to be empty.
It was enough for his eyes to snap open as he immediately sat up on bed. She wasn't there and the whole apartment was eerily silent.
The demon of Envy called out but got no response. He felt a sense of dread sink into his stomach as he gripped on the sheets.
"Don't tell me... No no no... please no..."
His breathing was becoming uneven and ragged. He felt like he couldn't breathe anymore. Losing her once like this was bad enough but the second time? He was already freaking out.
The demon immediately broke out of his trance at the familiar voice calling out to him as he looked up to see Amber standing at the doorway, looking at him with concern and worry. She was still here, safe and sound.
"Are you o- ah!" Amber got cut off as Levi immediately got out of the bed and hugged her tight, burying his face in her shoulder as he quietly sobbed.
She could make out those two sentences alone, giving her the idea of what happened as she hugged him back, soothing his back to calm him down. She stayed silent as she waited for him to calm down. Eventually he had calmed down as he loosened his grip on her, pulling his head away to look at her.
"I'm sorry..." She heard him apologize as she shook her head.
"You have no reason to apologise. I promise I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here with you always. I won't disappear again." She firmly told him, leaning into leave a small kiss at the corner of his mouth.
"Let's go back to sleep, okay?" She asked as Levi nodded, feeling amber gently grab his hand as she led him towards the bed as she laid down first before he did.
Amber immediately snuggled close to him, making Levi smile a little he held her close to him.
For the rest of the night, Levi no longer felt cold.
