Do you have any tips for first time people who want to join the art fight?

Welcome to Art Fight, first and foremost, and we're beyond glad to have you participate in the event! As for tips, here are a few:

Update your characters as early as you're able. You do not need full reference sheets! Ensuring your characters are ready before the event means you're not burnt out on last minute updates.

You may not work on attacks prior to the event, however you are able to plan for them. We allow thumbnailing as long as assets are not used directly in your attacks (ex. referencing a sketch is okay, finishing the sketch is not).

It may be beneficial to gather the characters you want to attack off-site before the event starts. Make sure to store their character ID and the owner's username, as you will need this information for the submission form. Although the site did not experience downtime last year, it may be slow to navigate.

Read character and user permissions before starting your attack! Profile aspects (which include permissions) tend to be updated shortly before or during the event.

Do not feel pressured to attack or revenge anybody, as you have no obligation to do so.

Finally, please take care of yourself! Make sure to eat, hydrate, and take breaks when necessary. You have an entire month to work on and submit your attacks. Anything you aren't able to get to can be sent as gift art after the event!
