Nicholas Galitzine Is VMAN’s Digital Cover Star For June 2026!

From playing a high school jock in ‘Bottoms’ to a dashing prince in ‘Red, White & Royal Wedding’ to boy band leader in ‘The Idea of You’, the English actor is adding another title to his ever-growing resume: superhero. Starring in the new film ‘Masters of the Universe’, hitting theaters today, Galitzine gets captured by photographers Luigi and Iango and styled by Anna Trevelyan as he opens up to VMAN’s Associate Editor Elyssa Maxx Goodman about how he prepped to take on the iconic character of He-Man, swimming against the current of public perception, life as a prince and a Barbie, and the importance of authenticity to his work.
To step into the role of He-Man in ‘Masters of the Universe’, the prince tasked with defending planet Eternia from his archenemy Skeletor, VMAN digital cover star Nicholas Galitzine knew a full-scale transformation was in order—complete with a blond coif and a newly sculpted physique—but rather than shy away from the daunting task ahead, he threw himself into the transformation with the same fearlessness as Eternia’s legendary defender.
“I truly believe it was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. It’s very strange living with a body you don’t recognize, for better or worse. You have to commit hours every single day, you have to be perfect with your diet. I knew it would be a huge undertaking, but it was even harder than I thought,” he explains to VMAN. “I luckily had just worked with Hugh Jackman right before we started filming, and we talked a fair bit about the process. He made a point to me that when he did the first X-Men, compared to the other iterations, it was such a steep learning curve for him, but once he did it, he had learned so much that it became easier. If we get more iterations [of Masters of the Universe], I hope it will be easier. But I was very lucky to be in the position in the first place, so take it all with a pinch of salt.” VMAN
