On pages 20-22 of my webcomic Liminal: Lost and Found one of the characters, Daisy, sings a song to herself as she travels through parts of The Liminal.
You can listen to the song here
Originally I wanted to actually write the song down as sheet music but despite my best efforts my lack of knowledge in that forefront kept me from that vision. Still I want to thank LiquidCrystalBunny aka lcbuny who actually helped transcribing the song into music notes! ( I just lack the ability to turn those music notes into readable sheet music )
Please check out her newgrounds account! https://liquidcrystalbunny.newgrounds.com/
The song itself came about sometime in the late winter/early spring of 2011. I had gotten a cheap tangled themed guitar from a friend of my sister and even though i had no (i still don't really) musical training i would spend a lot of hours just strumming on the guitar and coming up with all sorts of little songs. I was going through a lot at the time, my older brother had died suddenly and it was first experience with a person I was close to dying. Those little songs I made helped me processes my emotions a lot back then. In fact, the word "spring" in this song I would often replace with the word "death". A very blunt way for a child to grip with their own mortality. Still, after all these years the little tune stuck with me as something unnamed I would hum to myself. When writing LLAF chapter 1 I thought it would be nice to put it in as something Daisy would sing and officially gave it the name "Daisy's Song". It's short and simple- normally even shorter as I tend to sing it at a faster pace. Still I hope this video helps any LLAFers who want and idea on what the song sounds like! Enjoy!
