oh btw, that's not the last written backrooms info post i'm doing. i just won't do it in the style of as being written by redacted.
i want to write up with written and visual aesthetics on how "Arriving" will look like for your muses, in tandem with a custom mechanic made by urs truly with the effects of what happens to one whose in the backrooms for x period of time.
The Backrooms— If The Frontroom is our reality then that makes The Backroom theirs. From my own time of being trapped within The Backrooms I have come to understand a few things about how it functions. The Backrooms can be seen as an infinite dimension outside of our own observable universe. It seems almost akin to that of a dumping ground of both our reality, and other undocumented universes that exist. I associate it with being similar to that of a sea which separates us yet flows endlessly through other realities.
I believe this wasn't always the case, though from my analysis of the situation it's hard to say or point at any specific reason as to why. One of my long running theories I have is the possibility of potential interference from our side which caused the connections to be established, and from there The Backrooms itself continued its expansion underneath all of what us humans are capable of recognizing.
A theory unrelated but correlated to The Backrooms is my belief of the involvement of Archetypal Places. Archetypal Places are spaces commonly created from the average experience of sentient beings, view it like this; You instruct an entity, one who has access to memories of our entire population, and you request it to create a room. It would seem normal in nature but exhibits qualities that feel off. The more of a processed routine it becomes, the more different it'll come out from our reality. Why? Simply because it lacks our real world. The room will be stretched infinitely, or may even form a never ending loop of other rooms, interconnected by varying types of thresholds. It will be inconsistent with specific parts that shouldn't be. ,Mixed in with other elements that aren't in any way natural to someone who comes across it.
Why something like this could come to exist is; A common unconsciousness works like a dimensional collective that dreams yet shapes the reality found in them between existence and nonexistence. This is stemmed from my own experiences of how aspects of The Backrooms can seem almost dreamlike, surreal, and seemingly purposeless, or, It's akin to a realm that is too abstract to be accessed by humans readily so instead It's filled with the average "human" experiences for the immediate establishment of other functions. This is where the connection between "Limbo", "Heaven", or even "Hell" could be made too. All monotonous endless spaces, and somehow liminal in nature.
I have no concrete evidence but from lived experience I believe there is room to argue at the potential possibility of The Backrooms taking from humans, and even others alike. Manifesting the whole range of consciousness, from all across time and space. The tiniest shards of universes, including our own, fall into the sea encompassing us. Transferring these back into The Backrooms, elements that go on to become something of it's own creation and maybe even a poor imitation of something that we should know.
Even for entities one could argue they are the example of what happens in the scenario life attempts to form where it shouldn't have. Maybe others fell in from the number of universes encompassed by the sea of The Backrooms, maybe even from a place as unknown for us as "Limbo". The kind of life you can find here goes beyond any lived experiences us humans have experienced, even with the recent developments as the years go on. Supernatural life is not unknown to us yet such strides as the ones commonly located here might as well be alien in the face of those from our universe.
That's where it's origins stem from yet the true fascinating element of it for me is, for as much as the spaces feel surreal and empty they are furthest from stagnant. Even the levels which look, or would seem to be the more "completed". Shifting day by day via the work of the level itself, or, the outside influence of it's entities, or even some invisible force stemming from The Backrooms itself. The Backrooms in nature may feel like recreation of what is known in our reality yet it's progressively shaping into something that they themselves are creating to be their own.
It may not seem like it is on first glance, but The Backrooms is alive, and I have no doubt that with the lived experiences it's feasted on and continues to consume. It'll only continue to grow.

The Frontroom— A term that's been heard or used by the sentient and verbal existences we have come across to describe what they spoke as being "your reality." In other words, the plane of existence in which us humanoids exist within, or better phrased as being our home. We've heard it be called by various things which doesn't all together fully give us a concrete answer. Some have called it by Another universe, or, another parallel dimension ajar to The Backrooms. We have determined it to be precisely the universe in which we humans inhabit.
There is no specific pattern of The Frontroom that the Backrooms will take from. How it chooses patterns remains unknown to us but through various off-handed comments or feedback received. It was said that it's exceedingly rare for any two people to come from the same place in quick succession unless outside forces get involved. Intentional Exploration by the "Others", a term used to refer to those who stem from outside The Backrooms, has been identified as an active establishment only recently identifying a means to come without the interference of whatever brought them here initially. Not without it's own set of hiccups, one which when pressed for more no answers had been received but the undeniable truth is that the appearance of outsiders as a result has increased more than ever.
Though as rare as it may be we have deemed to never not expect anything. What this place is capable of is still fully beyond us. When we asked about the route to return to The Frontroom all those who had been so willing to speak came to a dead halt. No budging of willingness even with our insistence but the one who had finally spoke up informed us that not even those who were made here know the exit. They only know to keep moving in order to end up at the next stop.
With my own time here I have come to determine that The Frontroom is only one of many universes which interfere, or even, co-exist with the dimension that The Backrooms takes place in. I also have conclusive reasons to believe that, unlike us humans, The Backrooms is composed of many more universes.

This blog is in no shape, form, or really any means correlated to any outside interpretation of The Backrooms. I do not take inspiration or adapt any creator own personal portrayal, especially the more notable one which is KanePixel's work, or really any established video game in the genre. It is not something i enjoy, but is not stated as a means to dismiss others enjoyment. More a clarification of hey, try to consume this separately without making assumptions.
There is no concrete backrooms "canon" and who you ask, it all becomes a very subjective topic.
For me, however, this blog serves as a place for me to compile and put to words how my own vision of what The Backrooms looks like with added elements that some may view differently. Everyone is entitled to that, and for me, this is my own personal project. A rapidly developing and established story I have been building passively over time but have finally wanted to make concise effort to write or explore through the means of roleplay.
While not overtly important but still I feel I should make this distinction; LIMINAL SPACES≠BACKROOMS, and I fully understand this too. The Backrooms as a concept builds upon and spreads the intention of what Liminal Spaces originally were or are meant to be past it's initial conception; it became about the horror of it all.
However, the portrayal of the backrooms found on this blog will not be one wholly faithful and or an adaption that stays true to the original concept of Liminal Spaces but finds a way to incorporate elements or inspiration tied to what it means, and represents while also adding in and shifting pieces to a way that becomes something creatively enjoyable for me. Another important detail of note is, that being said my portrayal of the backrooms is not solely centered around horror either. It is an amalgamation of many things yet can be perceived or read however way first hits you, or your muse.
That and all of this is one big TLDR to say; Hey! I'm not writing something meant to be approved or something that appeases the mass unified opinion of "they're losing the plot of liminal spaces". I'm being indulgent intentionally. I'm combining two things which i love with other added elements I adore, derived from meanings or concepts loosely associated that I think can only heighten what I've envisioned. This blog is my toy and I'm having fun shaking it around
While my interpretation is by no mean adapting any one source of "canon"; I do have to give credit to things that inspire me for the sake of clarity (not being made too but rather something it's important I clarify!), and/or acknowledge my potential usage of blog imagery from various video games centered around the genre/topic.
Namely, the most important thing of note.
The wikidot site. I do not incorporate ANY lore found there into my own portrayal but I have taken their structuring of the very concepts of things like objects, phenomena, people of interest, groups / tales, entities, and will use similar things thematically to develop or give added depth to my portrayal. That's as far as it goes and does not go much further than this.
The other. I will use video game screenshots in icons, graphics spread across the blogs because they are all adaptions of consistent levels that exist spread across any one media involving The Backrooms.
From researching & opinions of other enthusiasts alike. I come across concepts, theories, aspects, that others share that I conceptually have adored. Ones which I cannot shake or change my view on the backrooms since reading or taking it in. I adapt and implement based off. I cannot claim to own every thought as if it's original on this blog, and I won't act like it is!
