“It’s your dad” Lincoln mouthed back. He was listening intently on every word that his brother had to say while keeping an eye on Clara.
Clara nodded quickly, she watched her uncle carefully, “is everything okay?” She whispered. She hoped everything was, she didn’t know what she would do if something was wrong, she definitely had her mother in her when it came to safety.
Lincoln ended the phone call and smiled. “Everything’s alright. Your parents are are safe and they’ll be here in the next few days”
Clara sighed, relaxing. She smiled, “I’m glad everything is okay!” She said with a smile. “I wonder what they think about all of this?” She asked, mainly herself, she wondered if they were as scared as she was.
“Everything is going ti be alright. I promise. Just some rumours of thr company resurfacing again. It’s just a little better safe than sorry”
Clara nodded, “I’m just glad they are okay, I’ve never felt like this before you know, the whole, I really want my mom!” She chuckled lightly, the last time she felt like that was in kindergarten, on the first day. @lincoln-burrows
“Great way to make your uncle feel loved Clara” Lincoln laughed “You go relax while I do the dishes . There’s tv, wifi, loads of bedrooms and two bathrooms”
Clara chuckled, “don’t worry uncle Linc I still love you!” She said kissing him on the cheek. “You just don’t have that motherly touch, you’re more a macho man!” She joked. Clara nodded, “perfect, I’m going to go study, I might be back to school before finals and I definitely would die if I failed them!” She chuckled before heading to a bedroom with her school bag.
Lincoln smiled to himself as he walked to the kitchen. She was so much like her mother, she just didn't know it. Lincoln hoped that his brother and sister in law came soon, just so he knew they were safe.

“Don’t worry about me, worry about yourself! I’ve got this!”-Michaelscxfield
“No Michael” Lincoln answered firmly “You’re my brother and I don’t leave family. We started it together and we’re finishing it together. You never leave family”
Michael returned the smile, though it was slightly forced. It was true that everything he’d done was starting to take its toll on him, the guilt weighing him down. He’d caused people to die. He’d wrecked lives. And while he’d do it again to save Linc, he couldn’t help the guilt that came with it. “I’m fine.”
“I know you’re lying Mike. Can’t lie to me Mike” Lincoln spoke as he looked forward, instead of staring his brother down. He knew what Mike had to do, what he had yo sacrifice and even though Michael could handle emotios better than most people, it would finally take its toll on him.
Michael looked down. “Seriously, Linc, I’m good. Just.. Thinking ahead. Okay?”
Lincoln put a hand on his brother's shoulder as a sign of reassurance. "When you say stuff like that it makes me worry" Linc joked "But alright I won't make you tell me but you know I ain't going nowhere right?"

I’m sorry that I disappeared for so long but family issues came up and I had to go on an unplanned hiatus but I’m back now! Yayy!

Yay, heya!!
HEY! IM BACK!
Clara nodded, “I hope so!” She said, she really did hope they were safe. Clara looked out her window and saw the approaching house, “where are we?” She asked, looking at the house.
“A safe house.. Well that’s what Mike says”
Clara nodded, “okay!” She said as the vehicle came to a stop, she got out and looked around, “did dad say how long we have to stay here?” She asked.
“He hasn’t text me back so I’m not sure. It won’t be long though. 2 weeks maybe” Lincoln walked up to the door and got the key out from a potted plant nearby and opened the door, walking in. For a house in the middle of the woods, it wasn’t too shabby.
Clara sighed, “I’m going to be so behind in school, but you know what, even mom would say I need a break from it!” She said laughing slightly. Clara walked in after her uncle, she eyed the whole room, “well least it’s something, I mean I’ve seen worse on all those crime shows!” She said shivering at the memories of the episodes she had been watching lately. She put her bags on the floor and wandered around, “not bad I guess!” She said approving the new house she’d be staying at for a while.
Lincoln nodded as he closed the front. “No studying alright?” He chuckled as he took his jacket off. “Want something to eat, kiddo?” Lincoln asked as he walked into the kitchen. It was rather small but it would do.
Clara chuckled along with her uncle, “oh alright” she said smirking. Clara nodded quickly, “all of this action has made me very hungry, I’ve never witnessed anything like that before!” She said, “I guess I can cross off, being chased by hit men, off my bucket list!” She joked. She walked over to the small table and sat down, “what a day this has been, first I go to the diner to read peacefully and now I’m here for my safety!” She said laughing lightly. “Guess it’s part of a being a Scofield huh?” She said smirking.
Lincoln nodded, going through the cupboards surprised that the food was still in date. He pulled out a multitude of ingredients. “How about blueberry pancakes?” Lincoln asked “And yeah. All part of being my brother’s daughter”
Clara nodded, blueberry pancakes sounded great, “yes please!” She said, “do you need any help?” She asked, usually her mother asked for help, so it was just a habit of asking. “Yeah I guess so” she said laughing.
“Relax kiddo. I’ve got cooking undrr control” Lincoln smiled as he countinued to make the pancakes. “Believe me, you’ve got a whole life of insanity ahead of ya”
Clara chuckled, “alright if you say so!” She said smirking. “Don’t remind me!” She said laughing slightly. “I love dad no doubt but his craziness is crazy!” She said laughing still.
Lincoln chuckled lightly. “Ya right about that kiddo. Ya incredibly lucky to have parents like ya do”
Clara smiled from cheek to cheek, “I guess I am pretty lucky to have the family that I do! We’re all weird in our own way!” She said laughing lightly, “so uncle Linc how did you guys find this place? It’s so top secret!” She asked.
Lincoln plated the pancakes before placing a huge plate of pancake on the table and grabbed two more plates and setting one plate in front of Clara and a knife and fork. “When we escaped prison, we needed somewhere to go that no one could find. So we built this place" Lincoln sat opposite her and put his own plate down and got himself a knife and fork. “I guess I’m to blame for the way Michael behaves”
Clara watched her uncle place the pancakes in front of her, “thanks uncle Linc!” She said before taking her fork and knife and cutting a piece, she took a bite and sighed, “perfect!” She said smiling, “dad usually burns the pancakes!” She said laughing slightly. Clara nodded, “nice so it’s kinda like the families own secret hideout!” She said smiling, when she was little, she’d always make a super secret hideout in her room made of blankets and pillows, of course it was the most obvious thing in her room but her parents always enjoyed her imagination. Clara looked at her uncle and tilted her head slightly, “why do you think that?” She asked.
“We lived in a lot of foster homes as kids because I kept getting into fights.. I disappointed him a lot. He never settled anywhere because of me. He’s acts cold towards people because of me” Lincoln got up as hevwalked out the fridge. “I’m glad you like the pancakes. The reason Michael burns them is because he doesn’t know how to cook and he’s not as awesome as me”
Clara nodded, she couldn’t help but feel bad for both of them, she was lucky to have the life she does, with no worries about being placed in foster homes or anything stress related, she was truly lucky and especially after a day like today, she sees it more clearly. “Uncle Linc, you shouldn’t blame yourself, it was the foster homes that changed dad, not you, it’s not your fault!” She said getting up and hugging him, if she was anything like her mother, she knew hugs almost healed everything. Clara couldn’t help but laugh, “I have to agree, dads not the greatest cook! But hey, you’re both super awesome!” She said smiling wide.
Lincoln hugged his niece back and chuckled lightly. “I’m still the better cook though” He chuckled. It was easy to tell that Clara was Sarah’s daughter. She was always so optimistic and happy even at the worst of times.
Clara chuckled and nodded, “even I have to admit, you’re right!” Clara smirked, “but don’t tell dad that!” She said placing her finger to her lips, “it’s top secret!” She joked.
“When your dad gets here, I’m telling him” Lincoln grinned. Considering they had to stay in a safe house for god knows how long. He was glad that he was stuck with his niece.
Clara gasped jokingly, “I trusted you uncle Linc!” She grinned. “You have broken the trust bond we had…I am forever saddened” She dramatically sighed. Clara broke out in a laugh, letting her uncle know, she was completely kidding.
"You can tell that your my brother's sister" Lincoln was interrupted by the phone in the main room. Hopefully it was Michael or Sarah. Lincoln got up, and answered the phone. "Hello?"
Clara nodded, “I hope so!” She said, she really did hope they were safe. Clara looked out her window and saw the approaching house, “where are we?” She asked, looking at the house.

"Ya right about that kiddo. Ya incredibly lucky to have parents like ya do"
