Alecto + Mary
"Oh that," Alecto sighed, not bothering to hide the boredom in her tone. she honestly didnât see why everyone was so bothered about it - especially since the girl was a Slytherin, usually that was point enough for people not to worry. âRod was telling me about that, apparently I slept in the bed next to mine,â Alecto shrugged. âBizarre right? Wrong place, wrong time is what Iâm thinking.â
âOh that?â Mary asked, looking up from her book to stare incredulously at the other girl. Of course it wouldnât seem like a big deal to a pureblood. She had nothing to worry about, no family in danger of dying just because theyâd had the bad luck to be muggle and be the parents or siblings of a witch or wizard. Still, her tone, everything about how she was reacting to the news, pissed her off. Add on the fact that Alecto had shared a dorm with the girl and it was just insulting. âItâs not a case of wrong place, wrong time,â Mary protested. âA girl was murdered because of her blood. She was treated no better than an animal, and regardless of what you lot thing, we are more than bloody animals.â Mary slammed her book shut.Â
