#Repost @sundaylosangeles ・・・ Hello all, This is what happened on July 3rd 1988-- 29 years ago, the U.S. conducted a terrorist attack on Iranian civilians. On July 3rd 1988, the control tower at Dubai's international airport was expecting the Airbus flight 655 of Iran Air to land. She had taken off from Bandar Abbas airport in south Iran. But the 299 passengers abroad the flight never arrived in Dubai and the flower wreaths once held by their would be receivers were later put on coffins. An entire nation mourned their murder (in the first photo, Iranians are walking in the streets, holding the coffins full of bodies of those who were murdered). The two missiles fired by the American Naval Carrier "Vinscene" hit their target, the Airbus flight 655. An absolute manifestation of state sponsored terrorism conceptualized in the most vivid manner. All boundaries of internationally recognized rules were torn to pieces. This was America's revenge for the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran. Why revenge? Because before 1979, America had put a king, who was essentially just America's puppet, in charge of Iran. In the 1953 coup, the CIA made sure to take away any chance of a democracy from Iranians because they NEEDED the king in power to continue holding power over Iran-- which gave them a lot of power in the middle east.
