With each wave crashing upon me, more unforgiving than the last. I feel myself descending, farther from the surface. I can’t catch my breath, with each break I sink deeper into the darkness. Crying for help but my lungs are filled with water. I’m drowning but nobody can hear me, nobody can see me. I’m alone and I’m fading.

- I was deep in my thoughts tonight and thought I would share my perspective of my depression and anxiety in a poem-ish form.
