The presumption of a shared basis of misogyny is what makes it impossible to engage with any male space, cis or trans.

But avoid those spaces, and you'll find that that the presumption is catching, and everyone else also assumes your intention is misogyny. You are not willing to join the club with the men, but the rest of the world has shut its doors and put up no boys allowed signs.

And when you look at them, all you can think of is when you were on the other side of those signs and you needed them too.

You are suddenly very aware of how much knocking looks like a raised fist.

Tbh I think a lot of gender discourse is easier if you've read and absorbed I am a trans woman. I am in the closet. I am not coming out. Because it covers a lot of the problems that occur when you treat anything bad about patriarchy as bad to AMABs only when it affects trans women.

Being a trans man makes me absolutely want to die I'm not pursuing my happiness I'm purposely choosing to be part of the most justifiably disdained, insufferable demographic out there. Detransition is the only moral choice and I can't muster up the courage to live as a girl again.
