He wasn’t quite sure what to do in this situation. It was easier with Ben because the boy didn’t know him at all, but with Lisa he had to pretend she was just some girl he had a wild weekend with back when they were just kids instead of much, much more. “Just visiting a few friends.” He lied easily, eyes trailing over her. She looked good, much better than the last time he had seen her, but he couldn’t let himself go down that path of thinking again. He wasn’t here to rekindle anything. He just needed to make sure her memories weren’t coming back like Ben’s.

Lisa nodded with a smile. It was nice to see him after so long. "You wanna come in for a beer or something?" she asked, hesitating a bit. She wasn't exactly looking to open herself up just to be shut out. Such had been her mindset for a while now, which was very unlike her. But he must be different if he came back to see her after so long.

"I mean, only if you've got time," her voice faltered. Why was she acting like this? Her head was slowly beginning to throb, her knees responding similarly. She tried to smile, hoping he wouldn't notice her discomfort.
