I'm just a big worry wart. I'm starting work tomorrow so going through everything with daddy. Lol. I wrote out a few pages of meal ideas and mixes. Stood around cooking, cleaning and blending food all day but so worth it. When it comes to chicken or beef I'll boil the meat as I go so it's made fresh. I've already pumped a few bags of breast milk. Preparing and getting ready to tackle on the week. Back to busy mommyhood. I just wanted to post what I've been doing with fruits and vegetables to encourage you mommy's and daddy's out there to give making baby food a try. Such a money saver and very convenient. First time making Mango. She loves it already. 1⃣ Slice and cube Mango around core. 2⃣ Mix it up if you want. I chose banana. mango is also good with sweet potato, butternut squash, apples, pears and in oatmeal or baby cereal. 3⃣ Toss fruit or your mix in food blender to purée. 4⃣ Store and freeze. If you store it's good for up to 3 days and if you freeze in ice cube trays it's good for about 3 months. After about an hour of baking. Cubed, peel, toss in food blender, purée and pour into ice trays. Got the first batch done: sweet potato and butternut squash. Making baby food: Butternut Squash. 1⃣ Cut in half lengthwise, scoop out membrane and seeds. 2⃣ Wrap in foil and bake for 45 mins at 400 cut side down. 3⃣ Let cool, and cut into pieces inside the shell and scoop. 4⃣ Purée in food blender and put into ice trays.
