This little post is just a basis of information that you need to know about this blog, about me, and anything else that is needed to be known!
My name is Stan on Tumblr, I am currently a student very close to the start of his next year of high school, I am a guy and my pronouns are He/Him . As of the date this was posted this Blog is now about ADHD, specifically information on ADHD, my experiences and other peoples experiences.
So expect some things to be factual, and others to be not so factual. Posts that are experiences will either usually be tagged by me as an experience or will be submissions, so take them at face value if you’re trying to judge if you have ADHD or not.
I will likely also reference ABC’s of ADHD and TFW-ADHD quite a bit, as they are older blogs on ADHD than mine and are currently my inspiration to start this blog, or at least change the once chaotic direction of it.
I don’t know how often i will post, as I don’t know if this blog is going to be a hyper-fixation for me or not as of yet.

@ everyone in the notes talking about physical performance: if that were the case, then sports would be divided by physical performance. that’s a thing you can measure. that’s a thing that varies by individual. a weak man and a strong man would be an unfair fight in boxing/wrestling/MMA, which is why they divide those sports up into weight groups based on physical performance. but they also further segregate them based on gender. chess is segregated by gender for no reason but sexism. if it’s actually about skill and physical ability, then measure those and separate people by those metrics. don’t do some bullshit gender segregation and pretend like men and women are inherently on different levels no matter their individual abilities.
Remember that time male swimmers were pulled out of training because Kate Ledecky was leaving them ‘broken’ by swimming better than them? Remember how she didn’t even notice, because she was busy actually training?
Shooting is a sport that has no reliance on strength and so any allowance for gender variation is irrelevant.
The last time there was a mixed competition (1992) a chinese woman named Zhang Shan won it.
this is why they drug test Serena like crazy. the believe no woman should be that good. let alone a black woman.
and black women have always been considered “manly” and less feminine.
also can we talk about how surfing is segregated as well? like how the dude who won this years international surfing cup or whatever was given $30,000 worth of prize money, while the woman who won the women’s comp was only awarded like $16,000 of prize money???? or whatever it was. but I know it was either half or less than half of what the man won. like why can’t they get the same prize money and when they’re competing internationally in the same competition? they surely have the same level of skill and talent.
The pay gaps, not to mention lack of sponsorships for women athletes who don’t look like models is insane. If you weigh over 250 pounds, no one will sponsor you. It’s why most female Olympic-class weightlifters live in poverty/out of their cars.
Reminder that in international (and usually national too) womens athletics anybody with 5m/mol of natural testosterone or higher is disqualified. (See legal case of Dutee Chand vs IAAF.)
Do you or somebody you know have PCOS? You are banned from international womens athletics because you are supposedly in posession of an unreasonable advantage in sports.

Why are those disqualified overwhelmingly black and brown? Because testing is case by case when an athletes performance “raises suspicions”. They overwhelmingly test athletes of colour, for being too fast and not meeting white expectations of femininity.

Last time I reblogged this I lost ten followers, someone I liked blocked me, and I got hate mail in my inbox for several days. Let’s see what happens this time.
My ex wouldn’t even accept a ride from my friend who offered to drive us home in the pouring Orlando rain and instead forced us to walk 12 minutes in the rain, soaking my only pair of work shoes and giving me a cold. FUCKING RED FLAGS
If you gotta worry about a girl’s night then either your S/O isn’t trustworthy and you know it, or you’re paranoid and controlling, and in either case then you shouldn’t be in that relationship.
Also, this still applies with platonic friends, too. Possessiveness and emotional abuse don’t have to include a romantic or sexual component.
So, this hasn't crossed my dash yet. (Not blaming anyone, there is soooo much going on in the world and I'd also missed it in the noise).
There is currently a strike at Frito-Lay. in Topeka. These workers are striking because:
They were being forced to work 84 hour weeks. The company's best offer so far is a 60 hour cap. This is shit we fought for a century ago, people.
Their generous offer also includes a whole 4 percent wage increase...over the next 2 years. I'm not sure what COL is in Topeka, but... Well, it's better than the entire 77 cents they've apparently gotten in the last decade.
There's also a report that a worker literally collapsed and dropped dead on the line and the foreman's response was to make them move the body out of the way and put in a replacement. (However, this is unconfirmed and, of course, the company denies it).
There have been multiple OSHA violations at this plant over the last few years, including a forklift accident that's under investigation.
They've now been striking since July 5 but, of course, it only hit the national media yesterday.
Because Frito-Lay is refusing to budge. They are attempting to make the excuse that union leadership agreed to the 60 hour work week and crappy pay cut...when union leadership only agreed to put it to a vote.
And this means that we need to put the thumbscrews on them. Remember, this is about 19th century style working conditions.
So, I'm calling on my followers to boycott Frito Lay's until the strike is involved.

It is actually more beneficial to over buy them and force them to take action since most of the employees are boycotting. It forces the company to restock. If we dony buy them, they don't HAVE to do anything for production and wait for people to get tired and go back to work.
BUY THEM OUT. MAKE THEM GO BANKRUPT CAUSE THEY CANT KEEP UP ! MAKE THEM SO BUSY THEY HAVE TO GIVE THE EMPLOYEES WHAT THEY WANT/NEED
This is one plant which is striking. If you buy and buy then they will simply take up the slack with their other plants, and you know what will happen then.
They can manage without the striking plant even with a surge in demand, but doing so is likely to create worse conditions for workers elsewhere.
The buy them out tactic works well for national strikes, for a single factory, or for things you can't boycott.
Now if you're in Kansas and see empty shelves where Frito-Lay products should be, then a really good tactic is to go STRAIGHT to Frito-Lay (not the store) and bitch up a storm about how you can't get your chips and they need to fix your shit.
But that plant only supplies a limited geographical area so the shortages caused by the strike are local.
(And again don't bitch at the store please don't be that person).
Fucking cry babies...I worked for the Coca-cola company and they worked us twelve to sixteen hours a day, seven days a week. I went 5 years without a day off. Shut the fuck up!!!! If you don't like it quit and find a new job.
One huge piece of info missing is the current wage. If I lived near Topeka I would apply if they pay like 16 bucks and hour or more. 4% increase over two years and a 60 hour cap on hours sounds great.
It is sad that a 60 hour cap on hours sounds great to you. The 40 hour work week was fought for and bled for and we should not allow things to go backwards.
It is sad that you would take this and multiple safety violations for $16 an hour, which is barely a living wage.
And I do mean sad, because it shows how used we have become to being treated like shit. It's time to fight again on a battlefield we thought was won.
These are aspects of people that are affected by Discord’s new update to its color scheme and font, and there very well could be more I didn’t mention. Yes, you read it right, abled people and neurotypical people too. You are not immune to eyestrain.
What are the issues?
A font which is both overly uniform and overly squished, with many letters that have essentially the same silhouette as others and could easily be flipped and look the same as another.
▻ This is dyslexic-unfriendly, as well as generally harder to read and an issue for people with visual impairments who may find that letters bleed together or that their eyes ‘skip’ over letters or words at times.
A color scheme that is so highly saturated that it both immediately draws your attention and also makes you want to immediately look away.
▻ This is generally unfriendly, affecting people with sensory issues the most (ADHD/Autism, migraines, processing disorders), but it’s also colorblind-unfriendly. Due to the differences between the colors being exclusively the part that changes the named color (hue; “green” vs “blue”) instead of both that and the colors being different intensities (saturation; “neon green” vs “leaf green”), they look practically identical.
Aren’t there more? No. This is pretty much all that was changed.
Discord changed TWO THINGS and pretty much managed to land every single person possible to genuinely hurt with a visual design change that doesn’t add or remove any elements. Including abled and neurotypical people!!!
Discord is currently a good number of people’s lifeline and way to connect with others. And with this change, they just made using their app hurt. They know that we can’t leave their app without leaving our friends and communities behind. They know that if they can just sweep this under the rug, they won’t have to do a thing.
...So we can’t let them.
Why would Discord do this?
It’s actually fairly simple. Discord was hemorrhaging money from its very conception. Discord only exists because investors think it’ll make money in the future. If Discord doesn’t do as well, investors will push to make it “better” or they’ll drop their funding. Discord was probably forced into this situation, they probably knew exactly what would happen.
We have to show their investors that Discord was right.
What can we do to fix this?

I see a lot of talk about how neurodivergence evolved and stayed in the gene pool because it was somehow ‘useful’ to our ancient ancestors. While I don’t necessarily disagree with this theory, I would like to propose an alternative. A theory that we already have physical evidence for. Humans just love each other and care for each other. Don’t you think that a species that cared for it’s people while they recovered from broken bones, or nursed their elderly well beyond their ‘usefulness’ would leave a member out because they didn’t make eye contact, or couldn’t stay focused on a particular task, or whatever other trait you associate with neurodivergence? I really don’t.
Sure, maybe it was useful to have someone around who didn’t mind making arrowheads all day, or who knew absolutely everything about all of the local flora and fauna, or who keyed in on every little distraction. At the end of the day, though, these people weren’t kept around because they were useful, they were cared for because they were loved.
