Gods, he’d gotten so lucky with these kids. He couldn’t remember having someone to look out for him since the loss of his mother, before taking Sköll in, and then Skadi. Of course, he was the one supposed to take care of them, not the other way around, but he supposed in a way, they were all taking care of each other.

“I think we deserve a little bit of both, don’t you agree?” His mother made amazing cinnamon rolls. Maybe he could find the recipe.

“!!!!!”

Of course, why hadn’t she thought of that???

“Yeah, both!” She agreed, darting off to start prep. “Didja leave the recipe in the book?” She called out, having started to look for that first.

I was gonna go out and get something to snack on, but then I remembered that you seemed preoccupied; so I wanted to check and make sure you were okay.” She headnuzzles into James a little, that tail still wagging. Skadi knew he was worried about everything coming up, and she wanted so hard to make him feel better.
