you and me have seen everything
Pierre never liked his roommate's cat - never had and he never would. But his problem was solved at the moment since Emile's cat was seemingly sick. However what the other didn't know wouldn't hurt him and Perry had secretly been feeding the animal bits of chocolate every day wishing it would just fall over dead.
So maybe that was mean of him, maybe it wasn't fair to Emile to lose an animal, but he just couldn't stand that cat. It meowed consistently, always got into Pierre's face no matter what he was doing, and on top of all that the cat had the nerve to try and sleep in his bed. He wouldn't have minded if he was allergic to cats. It was almost like Emile's cat knew he was allergic to it and did everything it could to set Pierre's allergies off.. And so he'd decided to fix it.
He hadn't expected to wake up the next morning to hear Emile crying in his room. He hadn't noticed how much the other cared for the cat. But when it was sick and clearly on it's deathbed, Pierre finally noticed. It made his heart wrench for his roommate, his best friend, and to know that he had caused this sort of pain made it even worse. Though at the same time he was happy to finally be rid of the nuisance, but he wasn't sure if this was the price he wanted to pay.
With a sigh, he walked into Emile's room to comfort him and within minutes the brunette was sobbing into his shoulder as he tried to comfort the dying cat. "I'm sorry Emmy." Pierre consoled his crestfallen friend. He held the other boy tighter as the sobs grew louder once the cat finally passed, a small almost devilish smile playing on his lips as he realized the cat was finally out of his hair.
But he wasn't prepared for Emile's reaction, for his best friend to be falling apart in his hands over the death of a cat. And he knew he had to make it up to the other - especially since he'd been the reason the cat had gotten sick and had eventually died. "I'll get you a new one." Yeah, he was allergic to cats, but if a cat made his roommate happy, he'd get the boy another cat. After all, a runny nose was nothing compared to how Emile was feeling.
"You will?" Emile asked his face lifting from Pierre's now slightly damp shoulder. "Yeah, whenever you want to get another one." He smiled, knowing the fate he was sealing by making this deal with his roommate.
