Seriously though, that coat sleeve concealing method is amazing. Everything was concealed in my jacket sleeve, then I went to the bathroom and concealed on body to be extra safe. Was never once even sussed.

The Machïnïst pallete from NŸX is stunning and I took one look at it and fell in love. Also the tarot cards are garbage, and I’m mad that I actually wasted my time with them. 😤

The cards really aren’t worth it if you’re a serious tarot reader. Each card comes with a monster on it, but none of them seem to have much of anything to do with the actual meaning of the card they’re on. They might work as oracle cards, if you’re willing to put the time into giving each one a meaning, but I think they’re really quite useless as are.

Which is annoying because the art is actually nice! If you’d like I can snap a picture of them tomorrow.

I conceal under maxi skirts a lot and sewing a pillowcase in might be a little weird. For one, we don’t have structured skirts anymore, so the weight of whatever you concealed will pull down the draping of the skirt. Instead I wear a pair of spandex bike shorts under and conceal things around my waist and tied around my legs, tucked into the spandex. This way nothing is pulling the fabric of skirt down, and bulky things just make me look like I have a t h i c c ass.

Some examples: 

-the cobalt blue coat I lifted by tying the arms around my waist under a maxi dress, then tying a jacket around my waist over it to conceal the bulging. 

-my man$ur gavrieI bucket bag I concealed by tying the strings of the dust bag around my waist under a midi skirt, then waddling out with the bag between my legs so nothing showed while I walked

okay listen up, here is the story of why every time i go to michaels, i always steal those creepy ass plastic babies. now our story stars with whenever @imfuckingyourlp and i went out lifting, we went to the mall and ended at michaels. now, we weren’t really planning on lifting at michaels just waiting for a ride so we were wandering and i notice them. these creepy little fucks in a plastic bag, and i’m like “holy fuck i need them. i don’t know why, but holy shit i need them.” so i stole just one pack, and i showed them to alexa once we left and i was like “look at these i’m fucking living.” now i am the queen of lifting dumb shit. like super dumb shit, so there was no surprise. we made it an inside joke, flexing the babies, posting dumb pictures with them, making fan signs with them. now, the only reason i do it anymore is because the other day i was in michaels. alexa’s lifting some art supplies, im straight hauling babies, and we also bought something. now, we heard employees talking, and what are they talking about? “the baby lifter.” so i said “oh like if you don’t mind me what’s this about? thats an odd thing to say.” they explain that someone keeps shoplifting plastic babies, and they say “like it’s weird. it’s probably some pregnant mom who’s having a weird ass baby shower. just, a weird baby shower.” so ya know. i act very confused and concerned, alexa and i laugh a bit then leave. and i refuse to stop until they lock them up or put them in an isle with cams. so, tl;dr i started lifting them because they were dumb and hilarious and now i do it just because they have a name for the masked women who keeps stealing they’re plastic babies.

I went on a quick lift trip at lunch today bc bf needed some shampoo and toiletries

On the way back I used some of the money I didn’t spend on liquid soap and bought pizza for the man who sits out front of our building in the 80 degrees sunshine every day. He doesn’t eat for three days straight sometimes, but he still shares what he finds in the trash with the pigeons. He can’t even go in the drugstore without getting followed around as he buys a bag of chips, and I went in there and took $40ish of toiletries and other things.

I’m not posting this to brag. Basic human decency to help other people doesn’t earn anybody a cookie - and it’s true a lot of us want to help but can barely afford ourselves. I wanted to share bc I want to ask my fellow lifters to pay it forward if you can.

The truth is we don’t need $54 makeup palettes. But that $54 we didn’t spend is now more $$ $in our pockets - more for us, more for our actual needs and necessities that we now don’t have to waste on overpriced nice things to make our lives a little more fun. Because we can take those things when and if we choose to.

Yeah we operate on a lot of skill, but we also operate on a SHIT TON of luck. If you have that little bit of extra capability to spare, maybe if you can, share some of it with someone who’s so far down on their luck that they can’t even manage to lift to survive.

I watched the VP of our company walk down the steps past the homeless man a couple days ago, and after he was far enough away he laughed at the “stupid hobo who isn’t smart enough to get out of the sun”. This man who is perfectly capable of buying someone a $5 subway, who makes 90k a year, and he mocked someone who could have been himself if the situation had gone differently. It’s horrid.

This is very important!!! Alternate ways to help the less fortunate are to lift school supplies before back-to-school season. Lots of local charities/churches collect supplies for those families in the community who can’t afford them.

During the holidays, you can lift extra food/warm clothes to donate (again, to local places. While I may not be religious or necessarily support churches, I can acknowledge that they do a lot for my community). Same thing with toys!! Every year at my school our class would “adopt” a family for Christmas and get them gifts. The family was kept secret, we knew ages and gender. Lift your local kids some nice toys/clothes!!

If you’re a tarot reader, don’t bother lifting the Spirit Halloween deck. It’s like a mash up of monster flash cards and playing cards with the barest hint of actual tarot thrown in.

Not worth it in my opinion, unless you’re using them as a prop or for an art piece or something.
