It's funny, because Kafka ends up giving the Trailblazer the same kind of question. Could the Stellaron Hunters and Sampo be connected?

I think Sampo is only part of the Masked Fools. At least, he works for them.

If he is connected to the Stell Hunters, then he has his own secret agenda, and juggles between three main "roles" he plays, in order to reach his goal.

Roles as in: Sampo entertaining the Fools, Sampo being part of Elio's plots, Sampo "I love money" but acting like some secret Robin Hood in the Underworld.

Insert secret fourth role being "the true Sampo and his secret goal".

Hm? Which goal?

... Well, depends on how meta you want to go...

If you want to stay in the meta of the game, then my theory is that Sampo and Trailblazer are actually Aha and Akivili. Aha wants to redeem himself in Akivili's eyes after blowing up half the Astral Express that one time...

Yes, I'm tying such behaviour from Aha to how Sampo appears in the Museum Event.

Also, I don't think Aha would try blowing up the Astral again. That would be a predictable joke, now. Thus, not as fun.

BUT if you want to go bonkers with the meta...

Sampo wants us to have fun.

Us, the players.

We are akin to the girls and boys in the "tavern", looking over what Sampo does to entertain us.

But we are still different from the Masked Fools.

Because we control the Trailblazer.

Also, if the Trailblazer is somehow Akivili...

Then we are Akivili, too.

We might simply not be aware of that yet.

And who is the master of self-awareness?

Aha, in the Simulated Universe.

The way Aventurine always uses his left hand when he recites Gaiathra Triclops' blessing...we see him use his left hand with his sister as a child

And then we see his adult self and child self both using their left hands in Nihility

There isn't anything that says you have to use your left hand, you just have to put your palms together. But Aventurine has always used his left hand; fitting for a child blessed by Gaiathra who is depicted as a left palm. And it's this same hand that he keeps unadorned with jewelry (not counting the bracelet bc it's on his wrist).

It's this same hand that we see him conceal behind his back when he's doing his coin idle animation to impress (distract?) the audience

When he's gambling

And it's his left hand that we see holding his sister's hand in his 4-star LC

His right hand, however, is adorned with distracting jewelry. It's the one he shows people. It's the one he uses to make deals and place his bets.

But his left hand? His left hand is hidden, perhaps a silent prayer to Gaiathra to keep his schemes concealed, even when his hand is just below the table, clutching his chips for dear life.
