I love this chapter so much! There was a lot of development, on Michaels side and in Midams relationship as whole, with Michaels Scout Aspect finally joining in and getting some fun and attention 💛

Of course, I had to draw something!

So here we have Adam, discovering an amethyst on his adventure in the caves (only with a little guidance from Michael this time), Michael peacocking with his halo (this scene was just magical, the descriptions left me at awe! So I really wanted to do it justice. I think it looks a bit pale in comparison, but it has bunch of sparkles!).

And, of course, Midam being cuddly! This time with Michaels Scout Aspect present!

I had a lot of fun drawing those! 💛

I've been watching a lot of movies with fairies lately, ranging from that gorgeous Midsummer Night's Dream movie from 1999, to Maleficent and to, yep, Tinkerbell. So I got inspired to draw a bit of Midam in a setting like this!

Here is the little background I made up while working on those:

Michael and his siblings are highly powerful fae, each in charge of a season and its corresponding realm.

Raphael is responsible for Spring, Michael for Summer, Gabriel for Fall, and Lucifer for Winter. Each of them also has a more creature-like form. Raphael can take the shape of a huge, white stag, Michael of that a griffin, Gabriel that of a wolpertinger and Lucifer that of a unicorn (the angry, prideful kind of unicorn).

Michael's opinion on humans is not the highest. He may protects them indirectly, when he is hunting down a few Leviathans in his own realm, that tend to poison the water of his springs, which directly connect to the human rivers, but he does not actively seek them out, unlike Gabriel, or that strange raven Castiel.

So he is not incredibly thrilled to find fae nerd Adam Milligan, from the little village behind the woods, hopping around between his beloved trees and cliffs. On a Midsummer night of all times... an hour after Midsummer night, to be precise, meaning that this particular human is now stuck in the realm of fairies for an entire year, til the edges between the human and the fairy realm blur again.

An entire year with one overly enthusiastic Adam... who might be more charming than one would think...

Dumping the Cherub Headcanons I made up, because I love those underrated guys:

Most of them are very, very invested in love. They can manipulate emotions, but are highly affected by them too, if they are not careful.

Emotions tend to "spread" in a group of Cherubs. Have one very sad Cherub, for example, and all the others get sad too. Seeing the others sad makes them, in turn, even more sad, leading to all of them spiraling down and down, until they get away from each other, or get distracted.

For this reason, Heaven usually avoids having them around in large groups. They also are not allowed to stick around their human charges too much, for pretty much the same reason.

Other angels think of them as weird, since they are unusually affectionate for angels (looking at Cas and the very overenthusiastic Cherub that nearly squeezed him to death with that hug)

Wow. Okay, so last night I seriously woke up in the middle of the night -- 2:30 am-ish -- with a scene for the next chapter. I've never had that happen before! Some mornings I've had bits of a chapter fully formed when I get out of bed, but I've never shot awake going "oh fuck, I need to write this down. Now!" Which I then did. At 2:30 in the morning. As one does 😆

But big thank you to @littlelynxie22 -- I'm pretty sure this happened because I saw your artwork right before I went to bed last night, and it sent my sleeping brain into a fit of inspiration🤣🤣🤣 I've got an excerpt below, that I'm dedicating to you lol.

Excerpt:

M [Leadership and Herd Dynamics Aspect]: Adam, I am uncertain if I am jealous. Angels should not feel jealousy. [Adam watches patiently] However, neither should I feel want, and I do not want for you to share in such a way with another angel [admits, uncomfortably] A: You don't want me to? [repeats, dumbfounded and all traces of amusement gone.] M: No. [Agrees.]

The promised second page with doodles from Discerning Devotion, one of my favorite fanfictions, written by @stareyeddistinguishment!

This one features Michaels two remaining Aspects, the E.A.M (eidectic angelic memory) Aspect, also called "Handsome" by Adam, and the Scout, who doesn't have a nickname (yet).

The E.A.M was such a challenge to draw and I loved every second of it! It's not everyday that I get to draw a five eyed humanoid creature without mouth and nose. And without hair! It does look curious though, so I probably did something right!

The Scout on the other hand was just a ton of fun! Owls are amazing creatures, they are so expressive, especially with their eyes and with the way they move their heads! This helped a lot to make it appear a bit more judgemental, or angry. Though I would absolutely love to draw it with a more friendly expression someday!

Some doodles I made for one of my all time favorite fanfictions, Discerning Devotion by @stareyeddistinguishment.

They feature two of Michaels Aspects (heads on his archangel true form), the first one being The Tactician (affectionately named "Cat" by Adam) and the second one being the Leadership and Herd Dynamics Aspect (called "Cow Eyes")

I had a lot of fun drawing those! I generally love drawing felines a lot, so Cow Eyes was something else! While it's horns were a quite a struggle, I really like how soft it's eyes turned out! They are probably the most recognizable feature of this Aspect.

Next up will be the E.A.M Aspect and the Scout... Once I figure out how to draw a five eyed humanoid face for the first one...

Though the Scout will probably take over 70% of whole paper anyways, like that particularly puffed up Eagle Owl I saw on YouTube yesterday:
