Here’s the description about her lore if you’re interested in reading! It may be confusing at first to understand, but I’ll explain more specific points hopefully in the future! This is if she was in the canon BFDI universe just to clarify, but I’m happy to answer any questions about her if anyone’s curious about anything! :)))
Marmalade Jam was doing just fine back in her simpler days, she was much different, she was filled with kindness and compassion, but until one lighting strike.. changed everything forever. Left with a permanent scar, physically and mentally, she fled off into the Yoyle Woodland, and made it her new home. It was a huge struggle at first, she wasn’t used to the dangers of nature, getting beat up by it everywhere, it only inflicted more damage on her. Until then one day, she didn’t want to feel afraid anymore, and befriended the wilderness instead, to understand and accept it much more. Exploring the abandoned Yoyle city as she was wandering later on, she stole some clothes (which honestly no one cares about since the city’s abandoned), weaponry, and supplies, to build a treehouse in the woodland, and to put on a new identity.. to make her the resilient and stoic cowgirl, that she’s known as today. Even if everything was resolved in terms of her injury, and even if she has moved on from her past trauma, she’ll never leave the home she has created, because she’ll never want to be an interference, nor being interfered ever again.

Before the accident - Marmalade Jam used to be bubbly, joyous, and very optimistic. But she was easily manipulated sometimes, and was rather a naive person. It would be surreal to see such a young sweet girl become a much different individual in the future, but sometimes, an occurrence can affect someone so much, that it defies reality in unexpected ways.
After the accident - Marmalade Jam has put a hard shell in her behavior, what was so filled with bright happiness, now has dimmed down to a gruff and brawny woman. She has become unflinching, not afraid to face whatever danger comes her way. Manipulating her isn’t an option anymore, as she’ll pierce her eyes through anyone’s lies, and she won’t let them get away with it. Her physicality has improved, too. She rather has a defined tone in her muscles, which strength is her best attribute in her character, having the ability to lift, push, or even throw things with such ease, can rather catch anyone off guard. This isn’t a quick trait that she magically got however, because it took her years of isolation, and living in such harsh conditions to get to that stage of physicality.
