Strict parents might just want to control their kids, of course, but there's cases where they just want to protect them and get just the best for them and end up fucking it up on practice
There's situations where the parents literally turn out to be overprotective, strict or even abusive BECAUSE they love their kids way too much

I'm just relizing I could have DEFINITELY worded my post about Susie and Roy better.
I don't think Roy's a better written character, I think he's a more DEVELOPED AND UNDERSTANDABLE character, he's not aloud to hang out with his friends, his parents don't love him, he's been SA'd and he has a strict set of rules for him to follow and as someone who's been thur all but one of those I know exactly what it can do to a person.
Susie just kinds exist to me, I don't see anything special about her and I feel like she's just there because they needed more people in the cast, but there's not a single dout in my mind that sm7s gonna prove me wrong.
(Also she threated to punch Pump and Skid, so there's that.)
I'm confused with the last part is it like an example of a bad thing that Susie did/genq
Cuz Roy bullies them he's not any better
But yeah I see where you're coming from
Suzie is clearly concerned about her family situation, They just have their grandpa with them at home since her parents are always out to work and it's clearly started to happen AFTER pump birth (second the photos at their house) and she is afraid if something happens to their grandpa since he's too old and she cares about her little brother, she's not mad at her brother all the time she just want to make sure he's safe and I don't think she MEANT she was going to punch him seriously, And she must miss her parents too much she's only a teenager after all like roy
But I also trying to understand the logic//respect opinion.
But what do you guys mean Roy parents doesn't love him? I had almost sure Carmen loved him ?
You cannot tell me her balling her fist up was not her saying she was going to push him.
As for why I think Roy's parents don't love him, for some reason when ever I see a fictional character that's both rich and a parent my mind immediately jumps to them not loving there kids.

She's strict, and strict parents don't love their kids, they just want their kids to be forever subservient to them.

I don't hate her, I just don't care about her.
And while I don't have siblings I do have two younger cousins that might as well be my siblings and no matter how annoyed I got I never EVER even thought about leying my hands on them in a act of violence,but that's just me.
