I did a quick selfie shoot today because I was bored and everyone’s snow pictures were depressing me. I made the crown from flowers I had in my huge silk floral stash, did some cute fairy makeup and wrapped myself in some shiny brown fabric I bought for another costume, add selfie stick and instant fairy princess photoshoot!

I am really happy with how everything came about. 600+ hours, there are a few things I want to tweek but they are very minor. I have a lot of people to thank for helping me out during the con. While I could move around fine on the stilts, when I was wearing the mask my vision was limited enough to lower my mobility. Still, I’m happy to be a finalist in the costume contest and delighted that I was not the tribute and I didn’t fall over on stage!

@clarissa1dblack Thank you. This is a video of the legs walking while I was still in the testing phases, I’m saving the final walking vids for after the con. Hiya, do you mind some concrit?  This is an absolutely gorgeous piece and I couldn’t put something like this together in a million years.  I’m seeing a potential problem though, namely the legs.  Do the hind legs rotate or extend in any way?  The way you’ve set the bodice in relation to the front legs (boots) underneath them makes it seem as if that’s the position they will be in once you’re wearing them.  I don’t see enough room for your legs lengthwise and it looks like once you put it on, it’ll lift the front end of the horse and leave the butt end tilted back in permanent rearing (heh heh.  rear.) I may be just looking at the picture wrong.

@indirispeaks thanks for the post. The body actual walks pretty well. Here’s a video I posted of a test I did way back. I’m saving the videos of the finalized body and walking and all that until after Blizzcon. This is my most recent walking test for my Cenarius costume for Blizzcon. I tested the mobility of the legs after covering them in fur. I’m getting better at walking in it and hope by this weekend I’ll have the hooves finished as well as the detail painting on the fur complete.
